@brokndremes: Numerical balance between player character alignments does not matter in the slightest. Because each and every character is yet another member of their alignment, one among tens of thousands, it matters little. Choose a side you prefer, or both, if you want. @Gnome: Much better. Vami is accepted. You can start off at whatever point you want to, though it would make sense for your character to be at the fortress, having accepted The Witch's offer. As mentioned before (I think), the link to the Character Sheet thread is in the original post, among everything else. @Rultaos: I guess I rushed your characters a bit, didn't I? Sorry about that, though your post turned out great anyway. --- Adding a new feature, of sorts. Character sheets for major NPCs, unveiled bit by bit. Might/will be a bit spoilerish, but I think that will only add to the suspense.
Name: Mimel Gender: Female Alignment: Mage Covenant/Affiliation: Azure Covenant Personality: A childish mind with killer instincts, slaughter is just a game for Mimel. A game she loves to partake in. The fear and terror of her victims is the only thing in this world that gives her joy anymore. She is however, fiercely loyal to her covenant, especially Azure, who is like a father to her. Nonetheless, Mimel is still a little girl, and acts just like one. Coupled with her homicidal childish innocence, she is extremely unnerving to anyone nearby. Her familiar, Mr. Meow - a magical imitation of her dead cat, is the most important thing in the world to Mimel - and she will not let anyone to harm Mr. Meow again. Biography: An Orphan, an urchin, Mimel's parents sacrificed their life so Mimel would live. Mimel was to be killed - she displayed magical powers from birth, and eventually, word of that reached the paladins. Being only 4, she managed to escape, with her most beloved kitten in her arms. Though their life was miserable, she found help from other people who took pity on her. Roaming through the world, for 8 years she managed to avoid persecution. Survival became second nature for her, as Mimel and Mr. Meow made an impressive team, thieving and begging their way to survival. But eventually, just as some good people took them in, paladins arrived shortly after. Ready to make a sacrifice just like her parents, they hid the girl and her cat. This time, it did not work. Everyone in the Paladin way was cut down, and as her cat desperately hissed and tried to claw away at the legs of the paladins, even her only friend in the world was cut down. Shattered, paralyzed and broken, Mimel just gave up. In a final act of cruelty, the paladins burned out her eyes... And the pain... snapped Mimel's mind. From a nearby shadow Mr. Meow was formed anew, this time the size of a horse. Her cat , now reanimated as a familiar, eternal companion of a mage tore the paladins apart, leaving only wounds festering with shadowy energy. Mimel's and the familiar's senses were now linked, and Mimel could see through Mr. Meow's eyes, smell what he smells, and hear what he hears. The paladins outside her now burning shack suddenly screamed in agony and went silent. Heading outside, out of the inferno, Mimel saw everything covered in azure crystal, with statues made of it, looking just like paladins. Seeing the huge familiar nearby, and both the girl and the cat shrouded in shadowy energy, Revin adopted her, trained her to master her powers, and gave her a purpose again. A father figure to the little girl, she quickly became completely devoted to the covenant. No more running, no more hiding, no more begging - the game is now on her terms. Power Description: The majority of Mimel's magic relies on having a shadow nearby. The more shadowy the area, the more powerful Mimel becomes. Mr. Meow, being able to change sizes rapidly is also a major threat. Both Mimel and her familiar can use the same spells, very few are exclusive to one. Their fighting style involves dashing from shadow to shadow, rapidly changing location to confuse and mentally break her opponents, and constant hit and run attacks. Removing shadows, in one way or another, renders the majority of Mimel's powers useless. Spells/Abilities:

Shadow Growth (Mr. Meow only) - The familiar is able to change it's size depending on the situation, limited by the amount of shadows in the nearby area. Removing shadows reduces his size proportionally.[/*]
Shadow Replica (Mimel only) - Mimel is able to create her projection in any shadow. The projections can only stay in shadows. Though lacking a physical body, the projections can still cast spells Mimel can, speak in Mimel's voice and their senses are linked to Mimel's.[/*]
Shadow Switch - Effortlessly move from shadow to shadow in an instant. One of the duo's main spells, as well as their teleportation skill. Can only be used to move to a shadow.[/*]
Shadow Claws - Creating (or coating) claws with shadowy magic, giving them the ability to cut through nearly any material, and leaving a magical wound on living enemies. Applies Necrotic Wounds to living targets.[/*]
Necrotic Wounds - Every wound inflicted by Shadow Claws are inflicted with magical poison which quickly erodes their life away. Those who die with Necrotic Wounds still active, are reanimated as zombies, attacking anyone that is not reanimated. The zombies, though slower than their living counterparts, are still able to use the skills they knew, except the soul based ones: Magic, Blazing Light, Eternal Flame, Consuming Void and Enduring Life.[/*]
Nightfall (Both) - Mimel and her familiar merge into the ultimate predator, blanketing the nearby area in a magical shadow which cannot be pierced by regular light. In her new beastly form, and while within the Nightfall area, Mimel is drastically empowered in all aspects. Nightfall however, is very tiring to maintain, and thus can be rarely used, and only for short periods of time.[/*]
