Steph unwound the wire on the fence and barrelled out, holstering her handgun as she grabbed her satchel and Lillahs hand, she pushed her weight into The doc to push him out the way as they began to run with Cyrus catching up soon after.
"It shouldn't look to bad, they are slow and I think there is probably a back entrance out of the school grounds onto the sports fields.. that's if its any school I've ever been to."
She turned and twisted around corners and bits of wrecked desk and chairs

Charles runs after them, at the very least he needs his shotgun back. while crys is running out the door he fires a shot at him and unloads 3 shots at the girl. he is disorientated from the hit but will trudge along as normal

Jon's expression showed concern. He decided not to ask for now, as it might not be a good topic for the girl. He gave Ky a glance and raised his eyebrows.

"You can't let her go on alone right.." He mumbled to Ky.

Then he turned to Denny. "You should come with us, Denny."

"Uhh." Denise scanned the surroundings. She stared at the left. "Can we just go to my house for a sec." The young girl said, staring off at the distance. Noticing how rude she was, she turned back her attention to the young kids and smiled. "I just want to say goodbye one more time."

Lillah blinked in surprise when Steph grabbed her hand, but followed nonetheless and crouched as she did to loop her bat through a shoulder on her book bag. She did not want to be running tonight, but they didn't have much of a choice. Her depression was definitely acting up, but that was typical after dark--though the commotion helped without a doubt. Scowling, she shouldered her bag and grew quiet again as she followed the other two.

Suddenly, though, shots echoed down the hall as they came upon a corner. Instinctively, Lillah ducked as they ran but felt a sharp pain in her leg. She drew in a harsh breath and struggled to stay upright as they turned the corner. "Sh-shit," she panted, but the adrenaline forced her to keep going.

Jon nodded once and smiled, glad that Ky went with it. It was good knowing that finally, he won't have to spend the night alone. He gazed out and grabbed the machete from the floor. "Yeah, we should go now. It's getting darker."

Steph heard gunshots and the whoosh of 9mm skim past her head.
Lillah stumbled and stifled a breath as Steph felt more weight pull on her wrist, Lillah was slowing down.
Steph tried to help, pulling her harder to keep her moving and motivated.
"Just a little further..." Steph said as she removed her own handgun and shot back towards Charles, turning her body and firing off a few rounds to slow him down.
This was until she stumbled on the weight of dragging Lillah and dropped the handgun, the trio running away quickly away from it
"Shit!" Steph said annoyed as she thought how annoying it would be too get another.

Cyrus sprinted as fast as he could, and noticed the doc was after them. God damn that guy wouldn't give up. As these thoughts ran through his head he also noticed the zombies behind the doc. "Zombies," was all he said as he ran faster. Looking back he saw Lillah drop back, she was off balance, must have been a leg injury. The zombies were gaining. He tried something dumb, and hoped that he trusted him enough. "Sorry, but you're too slow," he called to her as he slowed down and lifted her by the waist and managed to get her in a fireman's carry. This was probably the firs time he was glad for basic training. Not only did he learn how to carry her like that, but e was very fit. But in the process he also dropped the shotgun. And because of his bullet wound, and the way he was holding Lillah, he began to bleed more. He sure was doing a lot to help these two girls...

"Okay! Don't worry I already cleared out the house, I just need to go back there to gather up some supplies."
Denise said, looking at the sunset. Her house was a few blocks away, I'm pretty sure we can make it before night time... Denise gripped tightly on her backpack and pointed to the left. "Follow me." She mumbled, before she could walk, Jon held his hand out for her to hold. She looked up at him and smiled. "Okay!" She grabbed his hand and began walking. Her house wasn't beautiful. It was normal like the rest of the houses around them. As they began walking, Denise stuffed her hands inside her warm pockets. She had the strangest, yet cute outfit. She didn't mind it though. She then noticed her red roof. Oh that red was her favorite. It was always shining with the most beauty ever.
The front door had a yellow door which stood out the most. From a far she noticed her small, crowded house. She scanned her surroundings only to figure out that their weren't that many demons(That's how she liked to refer them as). Finally they arrived at the front porch of the house. Denise let go of Jons hand and walked forward, opening the door, looking back at them, gesturing them to come inside.

Jon grinned and held the kid's hand gently as they started walking. They followed her lead until they reached the house with a red roof. He watched as Denny let his hand go to enter the house. Before coming in after them, he glanced around outside. Then he entered behind Ky and shut the door behind him. He looked around inside; it's been a long time since he settled in an actual home. Even back when everything was normal, he went out a lot and not be home for days. He remembered the last time he did that, but pushed the thoughts away.

"Nice place," he mumbled, following the two.

Denise watched as they both entered the house. She looked down at her parents picture and slightly smiled. After doing so, she turned around and snapped to get their attention. "If you want, you guys can go ahead and take a nap upstairs." Denise said, looking up upstairs. She stared at it for a long time, she sighed. Regretting ever separating from her parents. Why did they have to go down first. Why couldn't it have been me. "I think there's some canned beans?" She said, entering the kitchen. She scanned her surroundings, remembering that it was smaller than any other room.

She giggled, imagining the times she had with her mom struggling to cook. She grabbed the handle of the fridge and opened it. Nothing. She sighed, a bit disappointed that she had taken all of the food from the fridge. She walked back into the living room sitting down on a couch. Settling her small backpack down next to her. "So..Uhh..Thanks for the compliment of the house."

Jon couldn't say the same. His family had a big house though he barely stayed there. And that didn't matter anymore, now that it's all about being safe.

He followed to the living room and stood in a corner.

"Nah. If you guys wanna sleep, go ahead. I think I'll stay down here."
