Sorry all, I would have replied much earlier, it was just a crazy long day at work. To start, the heat: I was going to point out in the next post that Finn's trying to keep his on-fire brother at a safe distance from scorching him. We can still keep the laws of science, but we are playing a game about super humans, so there could be an infinite amount of reasons why Michael's clothes aren't burning. As far as limitations are concerned, (which is what I think this is about) I think we need to remember that our characters are only at their full potential with the stone. The vault door was the heaviest thing Finn's ever lifted and I'm not going to have him over-exert himself after that- it also caused obvious physical problems to perform. They've also only had seven days to practice their skills; that means they might still have hiccups and moments of ill concentration that are understandable, considering they're all new to this, in some way or other. Except, maybe the Executioner ^_- Maybe creating ice/plasma is more straining for either character than their natural state of fire/water manipulation? Flame throwers/Crowd control hoses are just as effective of weapons as well as their broader skills with their elements. Having said that, Finn's going to have a problem with how much destruction and civilian damage his brother is causing. He's even going to struggle with his own choice to endanger the bank attendants in order to escape. We don't want Phoenix to be a serial mass murderer off the bat, because he's still not an evil character. But again, you're welcome to edit and develop your characters over time! So I think we all need to start just discussing openly with one another. We're telling an interconnected story with endless possibilities, so we don't need to treat it like a chess game against one another. We can discuss possibilities that we want to do during any interaction (not just battles) and lead into ways the other character can counter or react. Just a suggestion. I hope that all made sense. Let's have some fun!
