As Hitomi got closer and closer to the still far-off dormitory building, she quickly noticed that she wasn't the only one present; there was another girl gazing up at the building with the obvious intention to enter - most likely for the first time like her, judging by the time it took her to take in the sight of the building. Hitomi couldn't really claim that seeing another new student helped her anxiety any, though. New or not, this was a person she didn't know, and from the looks of it, she was a bit... uh... Well, she had blonde hair, and her manner of dress wasn't exactly proper for a high schooler. Then again, she was the one who would have wanted to walk around in gothic dresses, so who was she to judge? At least this girl looked like she wanted to. It annoyed her, somehow. She could never do that. Without really noticing it, Hitomi had been slowly advancing towards the dorms the entire time she'd been in thought. She had just realized that she'd better wait for the other to enter first and stopped, when a very loud, foreign greeting startled her to almost dropping her precious PSP on the cold asphalt below. In an instant, she spun around, stepping behind her suitcase as if to hope it protected her from whatever was about to attack her. Apparently, the shout had been loud enough to also attract the attention of the other girl. That did not help. Not at all. Wh-who in the world would- "Are you guys new here? It's ok, I am too! You don't have to be nervous." She heard the foreign boy exclaim, his gaze jumping between her and the other girl as he continued in the same excited tone, half his words getting drowned out by the loud heartbeats Hitomi heard reverberate from her chest. Not only had someone come and addressed her, they had done so in a foreign language and in a manner that practically caused her something akin to a heart attack. What was the boy saying anyway? He was new, and... she looked familiar? She didn't recall him. Maybe he was mistaken, nobody would remember her from anywhere anyway. And friends? She believed she'd heard that word. But they'd just met, friendships didn't form like that, and she didn't... she hadn't even caught his name! English names were hard for her to pick out without repetition. "I... I..." Hitomi squeaked out, panicked, not at all sure how to reply. Luckily for her, she didn't have to; in a moment the trio was joined by another student, who did a good job draining all the attention to himself. That was about the only good thing about his arrival, however. He, too, was both foreign and loud, neither a trait the girl appreciated much, as they both left her a nervous wreck. This one, though, apparently also knew Japanese. Hitomi raised her gaze a tiny bit, just in time to see the guy open the dormitory for them to enter. Nodding silently as thanks, Hitomi basically dashed inside to escape the situation, PSP pressed against her chest and luggage firmly in hand. She stopped in front of the stairs, though, not sure where to advance from there and not wanting to get lost or appear foolish. From behind her, she faintly heard the upperclassman refer to them as 'fresh meat'. She visibly shuddered thinking what the year ahead of her would bring.
