As Jane went to explore the forest, cautiously, taking careful steps, afraid some trap might be set for wild animals or just for the fear of disturbing a wild animal. She heard voices. Her immediate reaction was to duck for cover. My parents are coming! She lowered her head and then remembered where she was--alone, in a strange, surreal forest. She coward to herself, hugging herself. She looked back at the tree in contemplation. Maybe she should stay put... But finding her parents would be a way out of this nightmare. She took in a deep breath of courage and stood still, trying to hear from which direction that voice came. Do not be scared of what they look like, unless they look dangerous. She prepared herself, feeling her toes curl, getting ready to sprint in a different direction if need be. She hoped tremendously the voices were not of savage people that may just so happen to be cannibals or in need of some female sacrifice.
