Good evening everyone.

I don't usually talk on this forums, but I would like to discuss something.

I have no problems with anyone. In fact, I am give people chances. I enjoy talking to other people, and getting to know anyone. I don't care who you are, you are you. I like that about people. You can learn new things from people.

However, I do take offense when I keep seeing a issue arise. Good example, verbally attacking people. Now, I am NOT sharing names (it's only polite), but I am having a issue with someone on this forum. I already addressed the issue with this person, but how can I not let this person continue to do the things they have done to not only me, but to my friends? Is this something that needs to be brought to attention, or what?

I don't like writing people off, but it upsets me when my friends are complaining about this person because they keep verbally attacking people. I don't want to write off this person, but it's unacceptable to see this person treat others this way. In fact, others kinda let it happen too.. So how does ANYONE address such an issue?

If you have addressed them about the issue and the issue has not stopped, then you, and anyone else who has an issue with them (who has also first tired to address the problem directly) should let the staff of the site know so they can help. It is one of the things we are here for. If we don't know of a problem, then we cannot help. Sometimes a third party with some authority stepping in is all that is needed to resolve things.

Ok! I just didn't know if this was something to drag the mods into or not. I would hate to do that, but it just seems unfair how this person has been treating others. Heck, when the site went down in December, and everyone went to the Facebook page, this person was kinda attacking others on there.. including me. I personally let it go, but to hear others complain about it, is unacceptable.

So I email one of the mods about the issue at hand?

If and when the report button is functioning you would report a post or PM of the offending behavior. Until then, PM one/all of the staff, explain what is going on and provide links of the post(s) in question since the quotes don't lead back to the posts at this point.

I didn't think the mods had even been reappointed yet though, have they? Nor do I think a banning/infraction system is in place yet.

Looks like at least some mods have been reappointed (see the Mod title under Lillian's avatar for proof), and banning is a thing (Nat was banned for 12 hours, adbots have been banned). No idea about the specifics of what they can do, and the lack of a report system is an annoyance, but the very basics are in place at least.

Who else wants to put money on that the person they're complaining about is Hank or Jorick and that the OP is just easily offended/butt-hurt?

It's just that we have members whose way to talking with people can be a bit shocking to some.
But making a whole topic saying "I don't like you" and telling them to stop isn't going to help.
It's just highlighting you don't have the ability to tolerate everyone, and the internet is the last place we should cater to people who don't like _____, _____ and ______.

This is not helpful at all, nor is it the spam forum. The OP needed help, they were given the means to get it and so speculating about how easily "Butt-hurt" they are based on the very little information that is provided is not in any way Fonz-cool.

Fun fact: what you just said is a harsher insult (just complaining, easily butt-hurt) than anything I've ever said to someone on RPG outside of Spam. Hell, probably even worse than anything I've said in Spam for a long while.

In the future you should keep the unhelpful garbage posts in Spam where they belong.

ANYWAYS, for helpful criticism, PM a mod, on the old site they could look at PMs so if this guy is constantly harassing you the best thing to do would be to get administration involved.

I know Amanda (maybe not in person yet) she's like a sister to me---she is a helluva lot thicker skinned then most people i know. If she's feeling angry enough to make a thread about the issue, there's an effing good reason for it, so you need to stop making baseless assumptions-you didn't like what you were reading you could've just as easily left the thread.

Jorick's not so bad. He can be harsh in Spam but so can everyone else around there. Outside of spam I've not seen Jorick rude at all. Anyway my main point being remember what assuming does--cause you are looking like an ass, Magnum.

I think that before this thread turns into a flame fest in either direction I am going to close it. The OP has the information she needs, nothing else needs be said.

Actually, I do not know either Jorick or Hank. In fact, if I ever ran across these two, I would hope we could RP together. I am not easily offended, trust. You could call me a stupid, fat, ugly, make fun of my race/religion, etc.. I am going to look at you and say simply say; "That is your personal opinion." I don't care. However, this person has been doing to a lot of people. Facebook, IRC, and I'm not to sure in the forums. I don't care that this person verbally attacked me, (because face it, its the internet), but it's unacceptable to see this person continuously do it to other people.

At the moment, all I have are Facebook comments (but I have removed myself from the group, and cannot access at the moment), and a few other friends were talking to this person in IRC. So, there isn't much to go off of. I was looking for some help or suggestions.

Could you please not assume its other people? I think that it was rude to the two you mentioned before.
