That post if you kept reading was up for debate if you kept on reading were basically following three core rules when deciding powers:

An element must be absorbed before we can use the associated power

The properties of that element must have matter or traits consistant with said matter

No OP, over abundunt powers like air, water etc and no time travel :)

Obviously these are unspoken hush hush rules but they are pretty much what is stated throughout the thread.

Exactly, Gravity breaks all three. PS does in fact have the final say, but I do dislike it when someone simply doesn't pay attention to what others are saying when they know what they are talking about.

I don't particularly see it op since he is still bound by Newtons laws and several weaknesses that counteract the ability itself...but seeing as how I've caused a major debate (and I hate being those people lol) I will begin looking into other abilities no matter what PS says...possibly telekensis

Hey arch, I'm glad you came to the decision to change it without having to argue with me (see aeron's or whatever that RP'ers name was to see how that works out lol.)

Gravity manipulation is a very bad miss-wording that I've overlooked within the list of powers. The only demonstration of gravity manipulation was with The Beast from infamous 2, who I'm pretty sure we've established was more of an "op" character than anything else that was written to be much stronger and godlike, so he doesn't fit in to well. That's probably my biggest problem with the infamous universe in general, the antagonists of each game are actually pretty lack luster or just poorly designed and don't fit in with the universe they've established. I mean, *spoilers* Kessler/future cole got time travel (which is dumb when we considered that other than his powers from partnering with nix or kuo due to the machine are all electrical so blegh bad writing imo.) The Beast was just basically second to god so again, another poorly designed character, and then augustine was just boring. *End Spoilers* So yeah, ignore gravity.

We also established that telekinesis within infamous isn't actual telekinesis but instead a conduit manipulating their matter of choice without directly touching it. Like the ice soldiers making spikes of ice, then hurling them at you by just waving their hands. So telekinesis is just poorly explained within that list.

After that, most of the other "non-matter" powers within that list have been explained to either just be sub-powers of existing powers, non-explained powers like mirror, or non-canon (see any blood festival dlc powers from infamous 2).

So sorry, but you'll have to keep it strictly to matter based powers. As for everyone else, I'll take a look at CS's and starting making notes of what to edit later tonight (about 5:45 PM when I'm posting this for me)

If you used it in conjunction with your matter of choice then yeah I don't have a problem with it whatsoever. And smoke would work better than pure fire if you want to run that route.

I'm sorry guys, I'll have to pull back on this one.

Got my CS all made up save for half the background before Curdan Cay (hope I spelled that right), realized I didn't really like the character and couldn't play her. It would've just led to a dead end where I eventually lost interest and gave up because I didn't like my own character. Can't think of anyone I really do want to play as, either. Romano can probably tell you that I'd have trouble keeping in line with the posting frequency as well (tend to get to all of mine a few days over once a week), so you've dodged a bullet there. I'll be lurking and watching this one, though, so have fun with it!

Plastic is still open, and I've already done all the legwork, so if anyone wants to take it, by all means, shoot me a message and I can give you ideas.

I actually like Telekinesis in the InFamous Universe. Alden/Aiden(whichever one is his name) from the first game had Telekinesis as his power and he and his men chose to use their telekinetic powers to manipulate the mass hoards of scrap metal and junk all over the district. That made them unique because, Telekinetic Conduits can't actually produce any "purely telekinetic" powers. They can't shoot TK shots, or waves, or etc. They are left entirely with manipulating the objects around them and Aiden/Alden became a master at manipulating things to protect himself and his people. (Spoiler) Which is why his boss fight is you fighting him inside a massive construct that looks like a human torso on a crab body that is wrecking the bridge to the oldest district, and all of his men either fight with large combat suits(these are mini-bosses) and small crab-like constructs as support/dps.

Yeah, most of the "non-comforming" powers are usually implicated with a major Antagonist to produce an extremely tough outcome and Op story-line feel. "The Beast" wouldn't feel like "The Beast" if he couldn't do something utterly lore breaking. XD *Sarcasm on the last part fellas.*

I thought those guys were just using metal based conduit powers, not pure telekinesis. Then again it's been like 4-5 years since I played the original infamous so my memory/knowledge on the lesser enemies is a little lacking.

aww corp I like the characters you make. Perhaps you just need a little help with power ideas. Plus this rp is gonna be slower paced in my opinion anyway.

Just can't make a good one for this one. Don't know what it is exactly, but I'm not engaged like I usually am. Power ideas are cool, I can think of a lot of'em, just can't come up with a good character to use'em. Think I'll stick to my main RPs anyway, might be better off if I can actually devote some time to 'em, ha.

Yeah, The Dustmen and their leader actually have Telekinesis as their power, that is why their constructs and powers always have that orange glow around and inside them. That is the binding TK energy.

You see, in the Infamous universe, when you solely have Tk powers you don't have any "offensive" or "defensive" powers. The way TK works in the InFamous Universe is that someone with TK spends years training their powers to move objects, as most TK powers in most universes work that way, but rather then just picking up any old object or material the TK power in InFamous essentially "link" with a material and you have to train that "link" like a muscle. The Dustmen and their leader use scrap metal and junk metal because it is abundant, and supposedly easy to link with and use as a weapon.

I edited my CS to smoke...after researching some of the abilities that Rowe could use I thought that it fitted by character better than telekinesis

If this lasts until next week, when I'm free I'll be able to join with two characters. A soldier like guy with plastic based abilities, and a rebellious punk girl with nitrogen powers.

Not sure if this RP will last since we're losing people, and my job hunt is becoming serious and I won't have as much time to RP. SO unless someone else wants to take over as GM for this, cause I won't be able to put in the proper amount of effort for this, then this might be dead lol.

I am still here, but I am not up for Gming anything at the moment. I would still love for this to continue, but if I am the only one here... there isn't much point. XD
