Kei "I would be most honored" Kei responded, once again turning her palms open to him and nodding. "Lady Ayameko has asked me to represent Kyokujitsu no Tochi as your liaison. I have already arranged a meeting for you with Taishi Chiyoko in an hour at Lady Ayameko's. I expect that MIss Shiƍ will also be attending." Despite not showing it, Kei disliked the formality of these situations, but many had hinted at her to be the next Sankage to be selected by Yggdrasil. She has been chosen by both Ayameko and the tree to carry a synthetic Kekkei Tota. It was her potential status as the next Sankage that she was expected to participate in these affairs. People would talk otherwise, which was not something that she wanted - nor something she wanted to burden Lady Ayameko with. She would due her duty and serve as liaison for as long as necessary. "If there are any other matters you need to attend to before you meeting, now would be the time to do them." She had noticed his gaze not fully on her, but she didn't mind. It made the situation much more tolerable. It at least made it seem slightly less like a diplomatic event. "I would put away that book though, when walking through town. Otherwise Yui might see it and you won't want to be dealing with that." Yui was Kyokujitsgakure's librarian, in essence. While technically a trained shinobi, she was largely inept at most of its arts. It was surprising for many to find that Lady Ayameko had graduated her early, when she was borderline failing at all of the practical exams. She had a thirst for books, and a book from a foreign land would no doubt draw her interest - enough that could make the situation very, very awkward. One thing Kei knew was that if there was a book, and she wanted access to it, there were few forces in the world that could stop her.
