She likes to jump into difficult situations headfirst without a second thought, and relies more on her so-called "gut feeling" rather than thinking things through. However, as people get closer and closer to her, a more soft spoken Suna shines through, as if making more of an attempt to act her gender.
Battle-wise, Suna focuses more on adapting to the opponent's Pokemon, and finding different ways of using the moves she already has (think Counter Shield from the anime).
