Ariela~ "Victor..." She bit the name off of her tongue as she said it. She had never heard of this man before now, and the Golden Mercenaries were nothing but a vague title to her. She had been standing in the street when his voice filled sovereign, she had been searching for something, whilst he was beginning a war. Ariela held nothing but contempt for this strange man and his sudden message. He had sentenced half of the city to death by starting an unnecessary battle that would leave sovereign with nothing but more sorrow. She had changed, reverted to her weakest form, simply because she wished to avenge those who had been repressed and abused. For this reason she agreed with his most words. The military were indeed the enemy, and they needed to be removed from this earth with haste, but bringing the innocent into a war so quickly was inconceivable. She could not agree with it. The 'Golden Mercenaries', whoever they were, were just as bad as the military they fought against. Their war would cause untold deaths, where hers could have only caused one. Ariela had planned to assault the military alone, slowly taking them out soldier by soldier. It would have been grueling, but it would be better than resigning the people of Sovereign to war. At least her way would have allowed them to continue as they were, given them a small chance at survival. Victor's path doomed so many of them to death.. So many people like Joanna would die in this fight. She had too stop them.. Ariela became unable to formulate a plan, she could not protect the entire city from this war, but she wanted to protect as many as possible. How would she find them? Would she be too late? Ariela needed strength to do this.. She turned inwards and pleaded with Artemus. 'Please... I need that strength to save them.. They do not deserve death, I was wrong... We were wrong.. Please Artemus, if you want me to kill, I will, but not the ones who have suffered. I know their pain.. I will kill as many of the corrupted as you like.. Just give me back that strength...' 'Is that so...? Silence came from Ariela. She was shocked, never before had Artemus spoken to her like this. He had simply willed her and it had been enough, now it was different.. and she was speechless.. 'Prove your commitment to this cause then. Feed me one hundred corrupted souls so that I may know their taste, and if they are too my liking I shall grant you power beyond that which you had before... This is my will. Do it.' Ariela's confidence grew, she had been given for go by her master to slay the corrupted. He believed in her cause and was testing her worth. Her expression hardened as she prepared herself for the task. "As you wish." she stated simply before heading down her own path of war...
