He has a slight athletic build made up by years of farmwork and hunting, and also has little facial hair for his age. His hair colour is of a dark black tone, and his eyes are a hazelnut brown colour. He only bears a small scar on his arm from falling over on one of his hunts. Background: Heir to the DuFairre lineage, Lamont claims to be the legitimate and lost son of Vertreaux and Lindelle DuFairre. Vertreaux had kept Lamont's birth a secret at the time his mother passed away after delivering her second and last son. Vertreaux thus sent Lamont away to be raised in a humble cottage far away from Arthroyeaux and it's complexities. With the servants who took the baby, he sent the DuFairre Rapier with him, to prove the son's birthright eventually. He made sure a replica was made so that everything went unnoticed by the nobles of court. In the forests near Marceilles, Lamont was raised by the humble servants who wore the clothes of humble peasant farmers who were happily married. Lamont lived a quiet life, unknowing of his real father as the years went by. Lamont mingled happily with the other peasant children in the village close-by. Lamont easily made friends, and attended school with the other children as soon as he was old enough. Lamont later had visions of becoming a heroic chevalier, as he watched the local baron of the white and blue often ride by to patrol the countryside. Lamont would usually lean on the wooden fence to peer out and watch the shining knights ride off into the distance. His foster parents learned of this, and called for a fencing trainer to attend to Lamont when he was 16. Lamont demonstrated an eager and foolhardy attitude in his learning, as well as bit of pure talent in wielding the rapier. Some of the other boys in the village shared Lamont's enthusiasm for adventure, glory and renown, and would often have sparring sessions with him using pitiful sticks they found lying around. Every time, Lamont would demonstrate that he was the most able and skilled with wielding a one-handed weapon. Two years had passed, and Lamont's fencing trainer finally acknowledged that he couldn't teach Lamont anymore, and that he was quite able and ready. By that time, the news of the king's death had arrived, and the humble farmers realized what they had to do. They had sat down with Lamont that one night, and told him everything, about his birthright and his duty. It was a lot to take in, but Lamont was able to accept what was being put upon him. The servants passed on the DuFairre Rapier onto Lamont, and bowed before him. Lamont had a purpose to fulfil, and he took his duty on more dutifully than an angel who purges evil. He confided in his closest friends, and they joined him in his 'quest' to reclaim the throne. After a few months of planning, gathering enough supplies and gaining the blessing of their parents, they set out as a party towards Arthroyeaux. Personality: Lamont is chivalrous and dedicated to helping those lesser than himself and others, being willing to take the fall for those around him. His parents often commented that he had the heart of a Chevalier. He is humble and modest, allowing others to speak and present their views before he speaks his own mind, and can make rational decisions. He is kind and caring to his friends, and honourable towards his enemies.
