Trooper Alexis Radclyffe After toasting a few of the stragglers with a look of grim indifference of her face, Alexis turned to the Interrogator as he began issuing further orders. She still held a tight grip on her flamer in case there were any more of the mutants and bandits in hiding, waiting to ambush the group if they let their guard down. Not that they would, of course. But it payed to be cautious. As she dutifully listened to her new orders, she couldn't help but scowl at the guardsman who spoke out of turn. Sergeant Cade of the Kronus 1st (if she remembered rightly) looked far too smug for his own good; she couldn't believe such a man had seen real combat, let alone been promoted to sergeant already. Clearly, either he was promoted due to nepotism or his regiment was severely short-staffed. Either way, Alexis didn't like him; he seemed like he'd be the first one taken out once any real fighting began. It didn't help that out of the two teams he had suggested, the only woman on his team was the techpriest, but Alexis wasn't sure if she really counted as one anymore or not. "As the ogryn says, know your place," she practically growled. "On Praetoria we learn to follow the judgement and orders of our superior officers, and the Lord Interrogator outranks everyone else here. Besides..." Her voice lowered as she continued, knowing too well that she was about to be insubordinate herself. "I wouldn't want to see a gloryboy like you be outdone by a group of women. It would probably stain whatever reputation you have." Truth be told, whilst most of the time people tended to treat her with ire for no discernable reasons, sometimes she really brought it on herself.
