Fujiwara closed his eyes and thought for a second about Umichi's offer before nodding. "Alright, I've got nothing better to do in this world other than grind, and since there's no way in hell I'm soloing in a game like this I might as well tag along. Name's Fujiwara. Pleasure to meet you, Umichi." he said as he shook hands with him and Suki dashed off. Fujiwara turned his head towards the door and shook his head. "Well, that was... Awkward, I guess." he said, a small smile appearing on his face as he sat down in Suki's spot. As he did, his slightly carefree tone died, and he looked Umichi in the eyes, his smiling face fading away into a stare. "You know, in this world there's a lot more at stake than in every other game. That girl that just left- you and her seem to be a bit close. I'm no love guru or anything, but I damn well recommend that if you want to stay alive here, you reconsider how you're playing things out. Too much effort into trying to get stronger, and you'll end up like me- or worse, if there's nobody to help. Too lax, and you'll end up like one of the few hundred dead right now. It's nice to play the noble knight in shining armor and all, but if you push yourself too far there won't be a 'you' left anymore. Are you certain that you want to get deeper into this mess? Answer me honestly; if you're not willing to go all in to finish what Kayaba's started, then I'll pay you guys back and be on my way. It may sound harsh, but that's the grim and dark reality of the situation, regardless of how this place looks right now." Fujiwara stated this with an air of solemnity, as if he was an entirely different person. "In a world like this, efficiency is key; it's something I overlooked earlier, I admit, but only because I didn't realize that fatigue existed here. If I'm going to tag along with you, let me be perfectly clear: if you're going to be throwing yourself at every little mob that comes by us without regards to your life like I've seen many people do up until now, then I won't guarantee that helping you out will be just as simple- in fact, it might cost us all. The same goes for your friends- but I'm sure you already knew this, right?" Fujiwara shook his head and smiled, tossing his previous serious attitude away for the moment, as some food arrived at the table. "But before anything else, you might want to get this stuff to your girlfriend before it goes bad. I'll head out too, but if you need me just shoot a PM," he said as he opened up his friend list and sent a request at Umichi before standing up and beginning to head outside.
