Maia hummed as she strolled the streets. She could already tell that this will be an interesting semester. A little boy tripped in front of her, grabbing his knee while crying. Hurrying over to his side, Maia pulled a roll of linen from her bag. She resisted the urges to consume the child and instead wiped the blood from the wound. Wrapping the bandage around the boy's knee, she stood up and gave him a rare smile. "You were very brave." She dug around her sack once more; this time it was a golden leaf. Placing it into his hand, she said calmly. "It's good luck." Standing up, Maia readjusted her bag, giving a final wave at the child, before heading toward the towering building.
