Dralith sat at the back table, leaning back in his chair with his right foot propped on the table and a cup of Cyrodiilic Brandy in his hand. The Amulet Of Kings had been stolen by the Mythic Dawn during the attack on Weynon Priory.. part of the reason he was here now. It was good fortune that the guards had decided to put the prisoners to the arena while Dralith was in town so that he could kill two birds with one stone, metaphorically speaking of course. The meeting with Baurus yesterday had lead Dralith to collect a four part volume on the Mythic Dawn and had, in turn, shown him where their sanctuary was located. During his musings, Dralith noticed a man enter the inn and make for the bar donning an armor that looked quite akin to Ebony. Perhaps a lighter version? Dralith would inquire later. It was the Breton, Daric. He'd a dossier on each of the prisoners and though they were not very detailed, they at least gave him a name to match the face with. It'd been a short while and so far Daric was the only one to show up. 'The others might be a bit longer.' He thought to himself.
With a swig Dralith finished his brandy and set the cup down then pulled his map out from a belt pouch and spread it on the table. He'd marked the location of the sanctuary on the map, as well as a few known Oblivion gates. His eyes lingered on the marked gate closest to the Imperial City. Were they ready? would this group be able to brave the gate and come out with their lives if not their sanity? Dralith hoped so. They were given an opportunity to make a difference instead of being slain like dogs in the arena sands and based on what he saw on those very sands, The Hero of Kvatch was confident in his choice of companions.
Daric was a capable man from what he'd seen. His fellow Dunmer, Kiba, was very arrogant and foolhardy but a good spellsword. Her green eyes were very unusual among their race however. Perhaps she had a hidden power or perhaps Dralith was over thinking a simple genetic deficiency. The two Orsimer, Dralith had no doubt, would hold their own in battle fairly well. Particularly the male, Karnog judging by how he'd taken the Nord down. Though he lacked tactic. Rushing in like that on the planes of Oblivion would spell doom. Aurora.. the young mage. She would need to be protected and he couldn't help but feel a slight pang of regret in taking her along but Dralith had never seen such raw magicka in someone so young. He'd been slinging fire balls and lighting bolts for well over a hundred years and reckoned that her similar spells were just as effective. The imperial female, Katrina, a pretty thing for an imperial he must admit. She had the air of a seasoned warrior about her though she could not be more than a few years into her twenties. And then there was the Bard, Henry. A curious man to be sure, Dralith still wondered what the man brought to the group besides a morale boost. Time will tell.
The Hero of Kvatch took up his pipe, packed it with a leaf of tobacco, and lit it with but a thought. He leisurely puffed away as he studied the map and thought about how each of this newfound companions would fit in during their excursion to the gate.
