This does have the unfortunate side effect of making him rather unpleasant to work with, but his ability and skill are unquestionable in their quality.

-He's a born strategist, his father having been a famous one for the Dystopian Army.
-When they took over Dystopius, the cultists would have had to fight and kill a loyalist faction lead by Valter's father.
-Valter joined Harmonia not because he saw the error of his ways, but because his desire is to free Chernabog from the traitorous cult. Revenge is also a plus.
