We have gained technology when your races, well, excluding the Equestrians, lost many ages of technological development. You Equestrians were completely wiped out, by your own mage plague or somesuch. As for peaceful? Your kind were feared in other areas, places that the Equestrians had not reached, but places that the Equestrians were known. They saw your ancestors' Equiis Pact, keeping all the power for the Equestrians, and giving little to all the smaller little nations you forced under your wing. Harmony? With a gun, perhaps, or veiled threats. Freedom? I've seen many much freer and happy when the Equestrians disappeared. And peace? There were still wars. Your ancestors were nowhere close to being such great peacekeepers, such saviors. We bid you good luck in being better than them, for you area already traveling down the same path. Let us know if you wish to know of your ancestors; we will be waiting. In the meantime, could you set us up with a communications link to the humans and their counterparts? It's time to make ourselves known to them, as well."
