Stopping in the hall just ahead, the red-head's eyes widened a bit before his face hardened. "That's cruel...that's just cruel..." He muttered under his breath. [i]Sending her to be potentially eaten by feared "monsters" without her even knowing what's happening? What kind of parent is that awful?[/i] Clenching his fists, he took a deep breath and let his facial features relax before he continued down the hall. "You shouldn't thank me, you know. I was just protecting the floors. Dinner will be done soon, please be at the dining room when it is called." As he kept walking, though, he continued thinking about what she had said. [i]She doesn't even know the rumors? What will happen to her when she sees? What kind of life did she have for her father to hate her that much?[/i] The whole thing bothered him, and he found himself less willing to let her ever see the truth now.
