Birds of a feather flocked together, so it was only natural that the weak would stick together in an attempt to feign bravery. Even Lesley and Martini were huddling together like soaked puppies in a cardboard box. The young man whistled a cheery tune as he stayed behind both Harper and Ace. The two of them were doing all the work and his path was vine free. It began to rain, but while the others sulked he merely stared on, amused. Ah, a haunted house in the middle of the forest? How convenient. Hakuren arched an eyebrow at it but followed after the others when Lesley rushed in with Inadi. "Well Leon, we best get going." He snapped a finger, making snowflakes fall on the wind mage's head. "Or else you might catch a cold." The wind mage grumbled beneath his breath before letting out a sneeze and both boys broke into laughter. The inside of the house was definitely a splendid sight, however, it was marred by the passing of time. Funny, considering time didn't seem to work in Nowhere. Still, the place looked like it had seen better days. Now, it was dusty and smelled of earth. Lesley began rummaging through a closet and eventually found jars filled with lights. "Interesting, they're very much like our fireflies back at earth, hm?" He gave Lesley a grin and pulled one of the jars right out of his hands. "Good find, Pinky." Avian called their attention towards the stairs and he stared at the dragoon with a smile. "Splitting up doesn't sound very smart," he didn't say the next part, but he thought it. Tsk, tsk, aren't you a trained soldier? In horror movies, splitting up always leads to death. "But if the leader says so then it shall be." He turned to look at Leon with a smile. No one else really cared for his jokes, but Leon despite being somewhat naive and silly, wasn't exactly bad company. "So queen Leon, shall we search the west wing?" "Shut it queen Elsa." The boy returned a smirk of his own before Avian began passing out the bug lamps. "Thank you." He wrinkled his nose at their surroundings. This place was far from fabulous. It was rather dusty and in need of a good cleaning. He really didn't want to get his crown dirty. "As long as we don't head to the basement or attic." Hakuren chuckled then began walking away. "Scared you'll see something?" In response Leon puffed out his chest. "No, this place is just very unhygienic." He grumbled something about hand sanitizers then stormed off after the ice mage. The duo disappeared down a long hallway and soon enough they were out of sight and sound.
