Post 4 of megapost: Crash Crash noticed his wayward balloon had in fact missed Kathy after a very brief moment of contemplation he reached into the bucket grabbing another balloon he launched it at her, eager to prove he wasn't taking it easy on her. Crash's attention was pulled away from Kathy before he could see whether he got her or not as he saw movement at the edge of his peripheral vision he dropped backwards matrix style onto the ground, both balloons flying past him and into whoever was stood close to the centre line on the girls side of the court though now sprawled on his back he quickly rolled backwards onto his feet scooting forward he grabbed for the bucket, pulling a few more balloons from it he quickly located Carmen again aiming one mrore at her for good measure he popped up searching for Ara he jumped forward dodging betwen the team he quickly sent two more balloons at Ara positioning them slightly off to each side the last balloon aimed directly at him, each slightly behind the other he wasn't enough of a genius to throw them all at once.. and with that he felt a balloon collide with his back the other glancing his shoulder, he twisted mid air casting a glance behind him to see who had hit him, noticing Carmen nearly take a tumble as she was finally hit with a balloon...and another almost instantly He pinged forward as she fell back onto her back. "A-are you ok?" He panted, leaning across the line, clearly concerned and leaving himself open to attack. Oona and Andromeda Oona's balloon missed and she just barely dodged a balloon that had been sent at her. she had to drop to the ground and saw that a few of the boys were actually throwing balloons at each other. she was confused but managed to get her hands on another Balloon that she waited to throw until she could pick out a viable target. Andromeda called "You can win Ryuu! why are you fighting with your own team?" she was very confused. Ryuu Ryuu stopped spinning, shrugging at Andromeda with a curious look on his face. He wanted to know just why Ara was aiming at Crash. He also wanted to know why there were a bunch of balloons suddenly sent towards him. "HOLY FFFFFFFFARMACY! PHARMACY!" Ryuu screamed, not wanting to cuss like a madman in the public. He ducked, dodging the two balloons sent towards him... barely. Gritting his teeth, the otaku stood up from the ground. When suddenly, he felt water pouring on his feet...?! What the?! How did they get m- Ryuu simply stared at the tiny kitten peeing on his feet. "...Why." The gruff student quickly snatched the kitten up, cradling it carefully. If he let it go, then there was the possbility of the kitten getting hit by a water balloon. And these guys had some crazy power. Ara At this point, Ara was getting pelted at left and right with balloons. Did he care? Er... Not particularly. One of them hurt quite a bit, but it had hit him on chest instead of the head. In fact, at this point he didn't even bother to try to dodge anymore. Yeah, he wasn't exactly contributing to helping the guys win anymore but revenge was a far more important motive for him. With an evil smirk on his face, he just walked with a dignified look about him and picked up a few stray balloons along the way. Not dodging the balloons anymore, he had plenty of leisure to carefully take aim and hurl his balloons at Crash and the other guy (Ryuu) that had dared to friendly-fire as well. Kathy Other than the stray balloon that had hit her on the shoulder, Kathy was doing a fairly good job of keeping dry. At least, a lot better then a lot of the boys who seemed to be caught up in an internal battle of their own. 'What are they doing?' She thought. But that was their own issue, for the moment it was not an opening she was willing to overlook as an opponent. She found a bucket left in the sand with 5 water balloons still inside. There was the option of taking them all out and shooting them one by one but... Instead, she dashed to the center line and just launched the contents of the entire bucket towards Crash. After all, she did promise not to hold back on him. Getting rid of the bucket safely to the side, she quickly ran away to the other side of the court. Carmen Carmen slowly got up from the ground, still in slow motion. This entire game was like an action movie for her. As she came to her senses she noticed the redhead asking her if she was ok. "It's just water!" she yelled. "I'm fine!" But to prove the point she picked up the four balloons she had grabbed before being knocked out and hurled them - all of them - in rapid succession at the redhead. Time for revenge! she thought to herself, enjoying the competition. With the redhead presumably about to be dispatched, she picked up the last four balloons in the bucket and threw them, also in rapid succession, at the tall bruiser guy, who for some reason no longer had a shirt on. Dodge that, she thought. Fortunately her hair had been untouched by the water explosions that had occurred and the sand had all fallen off, so she was still TOTALLY FASHIONABLE. Right? Yeah. Crash Crash barely had time to react as four balloons hurled at him, the first one hit him square in the face as he reeled another exploding against his chest before he fell back avoiding the other and skittered away, Crash had also noticed how daring Ara had suddenly got as he practically had to sacrifice teammates left right and center to avoid his relentless attack, getting caught on the ankle as he danced back out of the way. "Ha you call that throwing!" He barked at Ara, apparently he was taking this far too seriously what he had forgotten was that the enemy was also behind him oh no the cocky little...shapeshifter was bombarded by not one but 5 water balloons all at once, he landed his jump now absolutely sopping wet, he turned his gaze to the girls side wide eyes as he tried to find the person responsible for it he lifted his hands smoothing his hair back off his face before wiping the water from his face. "You can run but you can't hide!" He called after Kathy, deciding she was guilty because she was running away in a last resort Crash jogged forward recahing into a bucket getting the last water balloon he sprinted across the line in pursuit of Kathy, he'd broken so many rules already he could see Koop whirling towards him as he slid between two of the girls highly tempted to throw his balloon at Carmen as he passed but...she had definately won their duel hands down. However, Crash was very much determined to catch Kathy water balloon in hand sand kicking up behind him he took chase. Garden She realized it was Lady Carmen, she bowed to her to her and watched go all cool like and fourght agaisn't the guys who were...attacking each other also? 'Is that part of the game?' But without realizing what is happening she ended up dodging a bit more, she notice Lady Oona getting owned with so many water balloons, garden shivered...she doesn't what to experince that. She ran a bit, going some what like in circles trying to find a way to get a water balloon and try to hit a person...maybe not her team mate like what are the guys doing. Soon enough she tripped and tumbled a bit mopre, she had no idea what the hell was going on. She was tired scared and confused...most defiently confused... Garden then accidentaly went passed the court from her tripping and being dazed and landed on a guy with sun glasses. Her face smacked on the guy's chest and she oddly with no idea she did it wrapped her arms around the guy. Oona, Andromeda, and Alistair Oona got hit multiple times and cursed in the selkie language. Andromeda winced as many people went down. Alistair was watching the ruckus from the edge of the forest, he was very confused, frankly. Ryuu Ryuu gulped when he saw Ara throw several balloons at him. Then again, the balloon meant to knock him out went to Carmen for some reason. The kitten in his hands meowed. "DO I LOOK LIKE I CAN SURVIVE WITH YOU IN MY HANDS? AND WHY IS THAT MOOGLE NOT DISQUALIFYING THIS TEAM-KILLING BOZO?!" The otaku rolled over to the side, feeling some water splash against the ground near him, he felt a fair amount of drops falling on his simply t-shirt. ... ...Why was he still wearing his uniform? Ryuu suddenly put down the gray kitten, ignoring its constant purring. Sitting down quickly, the student simply reached for his clothes... ...Before tearing them apart with brute force. Yes, he was that lazy to use the zipper. (Andromeda blinked and went really really ... really red) With that said, he only wore jeans right at the moment. Standing back up, Ryuu scrunched his body to a fairly defensive stance, holding the kitten within his arms. His fair share of muscles was finally shown to the public, much to his disappointment. He cracked his neck, giving an extremely dangerous death glare at Ara. The student looked like he wanted to tear him apart, which he technically did do before to a hyena on a field trip. Actually, that was a toy hyena. But still, he still boasted extreme strength, along with the missing presence of a doofus. Suddenly, Ara grew taller. And taller. And all of a sudden, Ara grew so damn tall, Ryuu was unable to find him in his sights anymore. Then, the otaku realized that someone actually pushed him down. "Huh...?" Ryuu stared at what appeared to be a girl. A girl who seemed to have SOME expertise in farming. The otaku blinked, then he smiled calmly, as if he finally understood the meaning of life. Taking a deep breath, Ryuu screamed like a little girl, attempting to get the girl off of him. Who is she? What's going on? How did she wander off from THERE to HERE?! Why is there a kitten in the freaking dodgeball contest?! No, more importantly, WHY DID IT TAKE A P-SS ON MY FOOT?! Ara At this point there was probably nowhere Ara hadn't been hit. He was dripping wet from head to toe from the friendly-fire and girls that were actually still playing the game properly from the other side of the court. Now he really didn't need to dodge anymore, it was impossible to get him any more soaked than he already was. Ha. Taking more balloons into his hand, he was going to aim them at Crash when... The guy decided to disregard all rules and suddenly cross over into the girl's side of the court. "Okay..." Raising a brow, he decided to switch targets. Seeing that the dark-haired guy (Ryuu) from before was pretty much a sitting duck with a girl (Garden) over him, he walked right over to them and just threw the balloons at them as he hovered over them. Kathy Laughing, Kathy continued to run as Crash chased behind her with a water balloon. "Hey!" She called out behind her without turning around. "You're completely breaking the rules here Crash!" Despite her words though, she seemed to be having fun. A little distracted, she didn't notice the end of the court until she as right in front of it. Not risking a sudden turn and falling, she skidded to a complete halt instead. Garden Garden then look back up to hear the guy she accidentaly landed on scream like a little girl. She looked back up yo the guy and wonder why he was like that. She meaned that she just accidentaly bumped into him...nothing wrong with that. "Oh sorry..." She apologived but she realized that the guy she landed on had no shirt...She blushed brightly like a ripe tomato. And her arms are wrapped around him..."Ah! I am sorry! I am really sorry!" Mercy Mine! Mercy grinned as the egg timer screeched at her, she lifted her whistle to her lips blowing it sharply. "Game over! Put your balloons down!" She called out over the students looking rather smug that she was still bone dry. "Well...due to foul play and friendly fire and disregarding the rules...not to mention the visual evidence I'm proud to announce-" Mercy started up. "Girls win!" She shouted probably a bit too happy at the results, yet again she was completely biased on that thus why Koop had been patrolling although she refereed to him as her little guy he wasn't attached to either sex rules were rules. "Aww, better luck next time guys...who knows maybe you'll do better at the other games?" She grinned at them. "Alright while we get another game set up, we've got the sand sculpting event running or you can have a small break to recover from that last battle" Mercy announced to the rest of the students before climbing down from the tower she had been perched on, she should probably socialize a bit more right? Crash Crash didn't let up he continued his chase. "I broke them ages ago" He commented back quickly, he was distratced by the whislte as Mercy ended the game he had at least slowed up a bit thinking he could get when she let her guard down, of course as he shifted his gaze back to her he felt his heart all but fly upo his throat as he realised she had stopped running! His stopping skills were really poor as well, in a desperate attempt to avoid colliding with her threw himself to the floor even as his back connected with the soft sand he continued to skid forward probably wiping her legs out in the process finally stopping just over the line, he still had the water balloon held out to the side safely at this point. "Ah! I'm s-sorry are you ok?" His revenge momentarily forgotten. Ryuu Ryuu turned to face an onslaught of four balloons coming from a certain woman named Carmen, then at the girl whose arms had been wrapped around him. Much to his own surprise, Ryuu stood up without being affected by the timid girl. In fact, he actually felt like a bad-ss now. With a woman by his side, and a woman by the sidelines cheering for him... he felt... he felt like... ...Snoop Dogg. Actually, no, I can't be Snoop Dogg. I don't do weed everyday. The otaku whispered to the girl who had her arms wrapped around his exposed body, "Alright, so I'm gonna try getting you to the other side of the court again. And once I do that, you can just sit out if you need t-" Ryuu sidestepped out of the way from one balloon, letting some water splash on his legs. Then another one fell down, landing next to his other leg. Then another one appeared in front of him. The last balloon flew straight towards Garden's face. The otaku's eyes widened: a balloon was headed straight towards his enemy, who latched onto him like a leech! But he did not exactly want to hurt this person, for she seemed like she could not exactly participate in the game without collapsing. Ryuu felt some sweat trickle down his neck as time fell into slow-motion. What should he do? Ryuu answered by ducking, one hand on Garden's waist and the other on the kitten's body. Letting go of the kitten, Ryuu twisted his body around, catching the balloon as carefully as he could. Much to his own surprise, it worked. The otaku wildly flung it toward the other side of the court. The balloon simply smashed itself into the ground. (lol) Much to his chagrin, however, Garden was still hit by a water balloon. The otaku had completely forgotten that Ara threw several balloons at him. In fact, he still was doing so. Clutching one of the water balloons he originally carried earlier, Ryuu violently charged towards Ara. The student had done enough. Someone managed to royally p-ss him off by ignoring the entire concept of team competition. With that said, the otaku stormed over toward Ara, a water balloon in his hand. With a mighty lunge, the sunglasses-wearing otaku swung an open palm with a water balloon flat on it, straight towards Ara's face. Should it connect, it would, at the very least, produce a knockback effect, though Ryuu was still technically using water balloons correctly. Garden The water balloon unexpectedly hit her face causing some small pain, numb yet still very she could still feel the pain. She tried to wipe away the water on her face but she felt a hand on her waist. she kind of felt a little embarrased and blushed with the guy's hand on her waist. "uumm...ex-cuse...me..." She tried to ask to the guy to remove his hand on her waist yet he seemed to be a bit busy...She smiled happily when Lady mercy annouced that the girl won! ...even though she didn't do anything good...She watched as the guy with sunglasses threw a water balloon at a probably his team mate, oddly enough she gave a light girly giggle because she thought it was sort of funny how its already over yet the guy is still going. Carmen Carmen stood and watched the aftermath of her volley hitting the redhead, satisfied in balloon-laden revenge. Her face quickly changed, however, when not a single one of her four balloons sent at the shirtless guy met their mark, only splashing a little water on his legs. She stood there with a face that almost looked like it was pouting, but wasn't quite there because she was still happy about how the duel had played out. As the time ended and the girls were announced the winners, she picked up her hat and carefully put it on, slightly brooding but slightly gloating at the same time. t the very least, she had had fun in the heat of competition, and had a great duel with the redhead guy. Hopefully he had forgotten about their escapades in the bar earlier... Ara What the guy (Ryuu) did next was quite unexpected. Letting his guard down as the whistle was blown, Ara hadn't expected to suddenly be pelted in the face with a water balloon, and by one that actually stung quite a bit. "... Face." He used his 'Karmic Voice' to return the stinging to the one that had attacked him. Of course it had no effect on things like the water that had hit him, but he didn't feel like dealing with the pain of the water ballon that had pretty much been whipped right into his face. The game was already over anyway. It was his choice whether or not he wanted to use his ability. Kathy "Woah!" Yelping out in surprise as Crash's legs pushed into hers, Kathy teetered back and forth for a moment before she finally fell forward into the sand. "Yeah, don't worry." She was glad she had decided to wear a swim top. It would've been pretty gross to feel wet sand on a regular shirt. Brushing some of the sand off, though some of it was clinging to her wet skin, she sat up on the ground and looked back at Crash. "What about you? Are you alright?" Ryuu Ryuu did not exactly expect to feel pain as well when he hit Ara, but then again, he had been tossed around by a freaking demo- Okay, he needed to stop using that excuse. The otaku sighed. After the game, he and the student known as "Ara" silently departed in their own ways. Yet again, his anger took the better of him. The women managed to completely dominate the match eventually. Sure, he made some good shots, but still, giving into his own habits felt pretty terrible. The contributions he made to his team seemed to be overshadowed by how he simply smashed the water balloon on Ara for no justified reason. He basically gave into his own selfishness. Something he wanted to avoid from doing. Ryuu realized that there was more to changing one's self from a terrible personality. He needed to keep in mind that simply talking would not change him, but rather, face situations that would normally anger him and overcome his own problems. Today, he failed. The man shook his head, cursing at no one in particular. He then turned to the kitten sitting on his crossed arms. It purred before attempting to jump up to his right shoulder, only to fall off in the process. The sunglasses-wearing student effortlessly caught the small animal, putting it on his shoulder. He would find an owner for the kitten as soon as possible. While cats did seem to enjoy Ryuu's presence, he had a cat allergy. The student had grown to become used to this particular restriction. With that said, he leaned on a random wall as the girls were congratulated for winning. His eyes, however, were set on Carmen. He fully remembered that he used something pretty darn powerful against a woman who did not even suspect his presence. While it was not as bad as him suddenly attacking Ara, he still did feel bad for the woman. She seemed fine now, though. Ryuu still did want to have a chat with her, however. She caught his interest after exhibiting a great sense of competition... something he did not expect to see from a woman known to play with trumpets. Then again, that woman who played with trumpets managed to bring down the monsters that tossed him around before. Ryuu shivered. He sneezed. "Ugh, that's just nasty," Ryuu grumbled, his cat allergy kicking in. "You're making me feel like I should fight a bear or something..." The kitten meowed again. Ryuu rolled his eyes, simply staring at the ground, wondering just what he should do now that he had no one else to be with. Having a drink did not sound that bad. Or maybe sleeping in a quiet, serene place would ease his mind and prepare him for another chance to improve himself. Still, in the end, the otaku suddenly turned, making sure that he placed the kitten on the ground, before he smashed his head against the wall he leaned against, humorously screaming, "THOSE FREAKING BALBOAS THOUGH ARGHAGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! IF ONLY THE HILLY BALBOAS AND THE WATERMELON PATCHES WERE NOT RIPE AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR...!!!" Ryuu was not aware of Garden's presence right at the moment. His tired state pretty much made him forget about so many important things. Crash Mine! Crash breathed a sigh of relief as Kathy fell forward though he felt guilty she had, she'd done a pretty good job of staying upright for so long. He audibly sighed in relief when she confirmed...well she hadn't completely confirmed she was ok but he was content with her answer he flopped back on the sand. "No I'm not, I was doing great until you bombarded me with not one balloon but 5!" He grinned at her propping himself up on his elbows his crimson eyes sliding to rest on the balloon in his hand quick as a snap he sat upright. "Ah look, this'll get rid of that sand" He said with a cheeky grin bringing the balloon above her head and squeezing it hard enough it exploded and water cascaded over her head at least not painfully. "Ow! son of a muffin" Crash exclaimed as the elastic painfully pinged against his fingers, he shook his hand grimacing momentarily before grinning at Kathy sheepishly. Darwin Hehehe Darwin was the king at not getting hit by water balloons, the trick was to make a hole under a towel and jump into the hole covered by the towel. He sat in the hole bored out of his mind reading some manga....hopefully it was over. he poked his head out of the sand and looked around. "Is it over!" He shouted noticing his hole had been filled up by sand and the only visible part if his body was his head. "Ha! Guess that means I win!" he laughe. And started to look around. Yup he was the best....around. As Darwin appeared from his very safe hiding place Mercy dropped a water balloon on his head. "Hi Darwin!" Darwin's triumph was short loved....like most of his skittle collections. Suddenly his sandy purple hair was bombed by a water balloon. His face was then stuck in permanent shocked smile mode for a while. "Oh hey Mercy! Wonderful weather, right?" Kathy "Doing great? You guys were barely even a part of the real battle after a while." Kathy laughed. Hearing Crash's words and the balloon in his hand, she saw what was coming but didn't try to dodge it. Instead, she just closed her eyes and let the water fall down onto her. Wiping the water out of her eyes, she looked up at him and let out another laugh. "Ha ha, hey now, don't hurt yourself right after the game ends." Getting up, Kathy held her hand out to Crash to help him stand as well. "I'm going to sit and sunbathe myself dry while the sandcastle building's going on. You?" Ara Walking away from the court, Ara walked over to one of the lawn chairs set up around the beach. He didn't have much interest in events that didn't involve much moving around. He would just sit back and watch them build the sandcastles for now.
