I can volunteer for the co-GM position as well. I have quite a bit of experience filling that role actually, but all the evidence of that was destroyed along with the original RPG.

Melting pot sounds like a good idea to me too.

And as for villains, I vote a mix. Or more to the point, whatever we feel like at the time. Villain of the day stuff needs to be kept fresh, so I reckon varying between canon and OC villains might help with that.
