Cities like this didn't mix well with this particular Varyx, and she was certain that she could vouch for that being the case for almost every other Varyx out there. There are reasons as to why the Varyx are very seldom seen outside of their solar system, and she wasn't the kind of person who enjoyed being in the midst of all the chaos and hubbub of the large cities anyway. This was no exception. Taerys was sure that 95% of the population on this planet had never seen a Varyx before; they were one of the very newest races to join the galactic community. She didn't want to attract any curious, watchful eyes. Instead, she had stayed firmly put on the ship. At least then she knew her surroundings. It wasn't long before Taerys heard a commotion from the Argent Dawn's airlock. People must have been returning the ship after the couple of weeks R&R they had. She'd also heard that they were bringing on someone new, but Varus hadn't given anyone a lot of specifics regarding that. Maybe Varus was introducing him to the ship. Either way, the Varyx figured it was best to just go and check it out. Donning a tank top and some combat shorts, Taerys made her way over to the airlock, finding a good mix of different people conversing, one of whom she'd never seen before. She didn't make any move to introduce herself to the little group. Not yet, anyway. She went straight to Varus instead. "Captain." Taerys stated, nodding at him. "Can you tell me anything about the new guy?"
