Having mostly stayed out of the way while the girls unpacked, Haruki was still outside, just leaning against one of the trees in front of the house and thinking. He was certain that her scent was among those that came off the bus, and he had been absorbed by the thoughts it brought with it since they had arrived. [i]How long has it been, now? He turned his head slightly, glancing at her from the corner of his eye, but he decided not to approach. Instead, he waited, the same impassively confident look he always wore on his face.
