Taerys sighed at Varus' response, shaking her head slightly. "Well, just as long as he's no liability to anyone in the field." She stated, watching the new guy closely. The Varyx was easy to anger - she'd be the first to recognise that fact about herself - and she just hoped he knew when to curb his own behaviour. Sure, a little joke or two to lighten the mood was fine, but Taerys felt that this new recruit could push her to the very edge of her tolerances if he wasn't careful. The young Varyx carefully eyed Jackdaw as she made her way over to her and the captain, but said nothing. She could feel some sort of rage boiling up inside her as Jackdaw neared, and she knew exactly why that was: she was a human. Thankfully, Taerys had learnt to control her instinctual urges. Mostly. A low growl was unwittingly let out of her throat as Jackdaw got next to the two of them. Perhaps she still needed a bit of work on that. She knew that her race was seen as still rather feral, often going off of instincts and primal thoughts rather than anything else, but Taerys couldn't care less what people thought of her.
