Adrian recoiled slightly at Lydia's embrace, mildly surprised by the sudden intimate embrace, but realized what was happening and leaned into it. The smell of her hair wafted over him, her face inches away from his, and her hand in his own. It made him uncomfortable, but also... somewhat safe. Adrian remembered someone once called a hug an action of vulnerability. He knew why now. "Thanks..." she said. "Yeah..." he replied, unsure if 'you're welcome' would be appropriate in this situation, but it felt odd to leave her expression of gratitude in the air. He then let go of her hand, stepped back, and asked, "Who was he?" Anger was steadily creeping into his voice again. "What's his name? What does he look like?"
