Honestly, I'm impressed with the quality of the roleplay. You clearly know the lore and that's really nice to see; my nerd heart cries when I see a lot of lore contradictions. Add to that the fact that you all seem to know what you're doing when it comes to writing, and you've got my attention. There isn't really much out there that I want to join right now, but this is the first roleplay - at least outside of those made by the group of friends I came to RPGuild with - that has interested me, so I figured I'd at least read along :D. And in the event that a chance to join ever opens up in the future, I'd at least like to be informed as to what has occurred by then, so I read.
I probably won't hunt down people who showed interest (on account of goldfish-like memory), but do check back periodically. You never know when there's going to be a recruitment drive.
So... has anyone else started a new game of Mass Effect? I haven't played the series since I experienced the ending of Mass Effect 3 and was left heartbroken and desolated in a field of hopelessness, but I'm understating just how I felt. The RP still sparked my interest.
I feel like the only person in the world who couldn't care less if the ending was a pile of crap. I'm not going to let 20 minutes overrule 60+ hours of the rest of the series. I've probably done 4 play throughs from ME1 to the end of 3, including most of the DLC? I already knew the ending wouldn't live up to the promise of having the choices matter; having the rachni show up regardless of what you did in ME1 and the Human-Reaper remains in the Cerberus base regardless of how you ended up choosing to end ME2 told me enough. Considering they tried to make choice matter and bring all the narrative threads together into something that was somewhat coherent is honestly an admirable enough job, considering the series was kind of a pioneer for the whole making and living with your choices and carrying over save files thing. Besides, the Citadel DLC more than made up for any shortfalls the original ending (I'm actually okay with the extended cut) had.
