To me your writing quality is consistent.

Although it hasn't really shown yet, the writing quality you see in these posts is about 25% lower than my usual standards for casual-level writing. I'm agonizing over my own ineptitude, but I do understand that they aren't actually all that bad.

I daresay I'm not doing the best job myself (forgive me it's so hard to get back into this stuff. I haven't GMed in months to be honest)

It's totally fine, many of us are coming from long periods of downtime, so it's reasonable to assume we're all slightly below our prime. As of yet, you haven't done anything particularly horrible like control a PC's character without their permission or limit player's options to the point where they are literally unable to creatively explore their environments.

I consider those rules every GM should follow. I try to give everybody choices while still keeping secrets and making sure that things that need to happen, happen.

I remember reading once that a crappy GM will plan for his players to go into a dungeon, and if they don't go to it in the north he'll come up with some contrived bullshit to make them go there. A good GM will keep the dungeon a secret and when his players go south it is secretly moved to the south making them feel like they discovered it on their own.

Of course Play by post is far different and I try not to be quite so sinister.

Oh god the memories. Although at times, I might completely change the universe and possibilities due to single player choices that may or may not seem to affect anything.

Damn butterfly effects. I get the feeling your character is going to have a big influence on how things go.

And, there you are.

:) Noor's prep work gives us all a good foundation of knowledge to build upon. The basic picture laid out in her notes and crime scene tests is that whoever the murderers were, they were good. These were apparently very skillful, very experienced killers, and they cleaned up after themselves well. Just so you know, the other supernatural victim was a mage (her body is in Noor's makeshift "morgue"). There's an autopsy report for her on the laptop, but it isn't very conclusive, as Noor isn't the best M.E... Hopefully when Frank gets a look at her, he'll be able to glean a bit more?

0.o It seems he was modifying more than nouns. Maybe it isn't my place, but a three-day bender just can't be healthy.
