 Hideki High School suddenly receives a transfer student in the middle of the year; a girl by the name of Shizune Yoshida. Quiet and reserved, she exudes a strange aura of mystery and intimidation. Before anyone can solve her, a storm hits the school the very next day, cutting the power and causing a massive earthquake. Several students, including the Paranormal and Occult Investigation and Research club, or the P.O.I.R club, find themselves trapped in a twisted alternate version of Hideki High.

One with a blood red sky, a massive forest, and a pitch black moon. Monsters and creatures of the damned haunt this realm, but Shizune claims to have come here before. Informing the rest that this is the World of Wasted Dreams, they must survive for one week if they ever hope to escape this living nightmare.

But who, or what is Shizune? Can she be trusted? And what is this world?
