Nora had been minding her own business, barely paying attention to the other people moving all around her due to the fact that her mind was focused on the little black vehicles driving up and down the street. She tried hailing an empty cab but it rolled right past her. "Oh come one!" she exclaimed, staring at the back of it like it was some sort of prank. "You have your light on an everything!" It was infuriating and she suddenly remembered all of the reasons she didn't miss this city. Although she had to admit to herself that the list of reasons she did miss it was much longer than the list of reasons she didn't. She had been so preoccupied with the cabs that she wasn't aware of the woman who was running pell-mell right after until she felt their shoulders collide. Nora was thrust forward, her hand slipping from the handle of her wheeled suitcase so it fall to the ground, and she almost fell right into the middle of the road. She caught herself on a street lamp though, and let out a pained breath. The area where the stranger had clipped her hurt like hell. "Oi, watch yourself, Mate!" Nora said, annoyance in her tone as she turned to look at the guy who had nearly sent her falling into oncoming traffic. But it wasn't a guy. It was a woman. She was a bit pretty with dark hair that was styled in one of those very short haircuts that Nora thought was cute, but knew if she got one she'd miss her long locks a week later. She was carrying some sort of device with a little screen and Nora's eyebrows rose a bit before she looked back into the woman's face. It had barely registered to her that the woman had been talking to herself. "Where are you off to in such a rush?" she asked as she stooped down to pick up the fallen suitcase.
