Who said Station is an AI? Station himself doesn't know whether he is a highly complex AI, the combination of an organic mind and an AI, or an organic mind that has simply controlled machines for so long that it doesn't fit in with normal organics.

I'm not sure how far I'll go towards one side or another, or which one I'll be. I'll be controlling Station and his Avatar(s) (have you every seen "Andromeda"?)

If it is an AI, it is more complex than the organic brain, and as such, it has moods, personality, even desires.
