Powers: Hiro's power stem from ending up having his physical and spiritual state merged with an almost alternate reality known simply as 'the speed force'. With it he is not only able to run at incredibly high speeds, but also his reaction time, and endurance are also given serious boosts. Hiro is not effected by friction. Although Hiro's body has a hyper accelerated metabolism which helps him heal quicker than normal. It also means he needs to consume much more food than a normal person in order to get the bigger levels of calories needed to burn. Able to accelerate his body down to a molecular level, Hiro can also hypothetically vibrate his molecules enough to allow him to move through solid objects. The term hypothetically is used though because Hiro hasn't quite gotten the hang of it despite his mentor's training. Backstory: Born to a Japanese father and an American mother, who had met while he was working in the US air force base located in Japan. Both of whom have retired from the Air Force base and now work at the same corporation on a very busy schedule that leave them not seeing Hiro very often. Hiro though grew up a self-confident, excitable young boy in the streets of Tokyo. Although as time passed the energy and cheeriness started to fade slowly. As school became a daunting place where Hiro kept being scared of how others perceived him. Especially when he got teased for being half-American. Hiro felt helpless, blending into the crowd despite strong grades. He seeked comfort in the small things he had in his life, working on computers, in line skating with his few friends, and generally whatever else he could do. Though as he grew up, he always found himself interested in the Justice League that was forming in the US. In particular the hero known as The Flash. Hiro always thought the guy seemed so cool, even when his friends were all Superman or Batman fans. Hiro knew in his heart who the really cool one was. One night while working on his personal PC, Hiro was trying to install particular parts into the machine while also not paying much attention to the lightning storm that was going on outside. Suddenly in the blink of an eye Hiro felt some kind of strange electrical serge go through the computer and everything around him go blank, frozen in time. Hiro saw a strange world, peaceful and serene though moving in slow motion, as this place seemed to connect with him in some deep feeling that ran through the very core of his body. As soon as it all happened though, Hiro suddenly found himself flung back into reality, the force of the shock knocking him hard back into his bedroom wall. It took time for him to even process what happened to him that night, let alone what happened next. When he slowly began to discover that suddenly he could move much... much faster than before. When he finally processed what had happened to him though. Hiro was all smiles as he realized he was just like his hero. Quickly he made an admittedly stupid looking costume, and started patrolling the streets of Tokyo for troublemakers needing to be brought to justice. The idea of a hero being a blur through the city caught the media's eye, as well as many others. Hiro didn't really understand this until one night when a red clad hero suddenly stood in front of him while he did his nightly patrols. It wasn't just anyone though, it was The Flash himself. Hiro almost lost it when his hero was standing right in front of him. Though The Flash wasn't in such a giddy mood. As he wanted answers as to who he was and how he was able to move so fast. After the two spent that night going over everything. Hiro begged The Flash to be his trainer and mentor, to train him in being a speedy hero. The Flash mulled it over, before finally reluctantly agreeing. Although at first their relationship was rocky at first, eventually Hiro grew to bond with The Flash, eventually learning his mentor's real name as Barry Allen, and meeting Barry's wife in Central City. These days Hiro has cheered up big time, a swagger in his step and an attitude he hasn't had in years. Going from quiet and hidden to loud and class clown. But every once in a while he'll get a signal from his mentor to suit up in his much better looking gear, and get to the US or where ever in a moment's notice. Hiro's got to go be a superhero, and his damn proud of it. How is this character different: Besides the fact his Japanese and isn't actually related to Barry this time?
