Well...if by nice you mean I don't go around forcefeeding mothers their dead daughters, then yeah, am really nice. 
And what you're suggesting isn't horrible, it's psychotic. I don't want to make a psycho, sheez. And no, there weren't any assassins. I just thought it was horrible because it was just so out of the blue - he had reasons for it of course, but you don't know that :P
