As the redguard entourage neared the site of the meeting place, they came upon a large oval shaped glade. It was a rather beautiful spot all things considered. Butterflies of every color fluttered about in the calm winds. The smell of salt was heavy in the wind Temijen noted as the came to a stop at the edge of the clearing. The sun was still high in the sky, but a group of clouds currently hid its face, giving the area a warm air to it that was quite refreshing. The sound of bird calls and insects buzzing marked the majority of the background noise, added with just a few rays of light hitting the colorful collection of flowers before them, painted quite the serene picture. Temijen caught the faintest whisper of movement, and knew instantly he and his group were no longer alone. A moment of worry crossed his mind, that the Bosmer would not honor the agreement, after all they had already proven to be turncoats to their former long trusted allies in the Dominion. He buried such fears quickly however, knowing not even the bosmer would me mad enough to start a war without negotiating first. Temijen raised a hand to his party to hold position, before riding ahead slowly until he was just 10 feet from the Keeper, he then cleared his throat and began. "Honored Keeper of Valenwood, it is good we finally meet in person. I felt it was prudent we have this discussion face to face rather than by proxy. I'm sure you understand." He paused for a moment before continuing, a welcoming smile on his lips. "But let us get to the issue at hand shall we? During the invasion of Hammerfell by the Aldmeri Dominion, a invasion force your people played a large role in, your allied armies spread terror and death throughout all of southern Hammerfell. My people, being the proud warriors we are, have since cried out for retribution. However, both our people have long since suffered under the curse of war, thus I offer you a proposal. With your recent victory over the altmer your people are now free, but for how long? Surely you know they will return, and with a vengeance at your recent betrayal. The Dominion have a formidable navy, among the strongest in Tamriel. While your own realm is void of any real fleet of any kind at all, thus defenseless when they reappear. Perhaps you will be able to defend the heart of your realm, but you coast and borders shall surely burn. Thus my offer will deal with two woes in one simple agreement. Hammerfell, and Hammerfell alone, possess the manpower and naval strength to defend you shores, Keeper.""Once more, we will offer you our protection in the form of a defensive trading pact. If the bosmer agree to allow Hammerfell soldiers and ships to garrison in Valenwood coastal cities. We will also offer to build, with oversight of your people, two new coastal cities in northern Valenwood. Should you agree to the terms to cede your coastal territories, a new age of prosperity can only follow. Our trading vessels will open up the entirety of Tamriel to Bosmer merchants. We will use overland wood to construct our fleets and these new settlements, and the bosmer may continue to live as they have always lived, their culture and forest will remain untouched and unsoiled, we ask only that merchants who trade within these port cities pay a small tax, which will go to supporting the fleet that protects them and their goods, Yokudan law will rule within these trade cities, but your people will have full freedoms as they would elsewhere in Valenwood. In return the Bosmer must agree to never again side with the Dominion, or fight under their banner ever again."After a short pause Temijen continued his tone easy and friendly. "I offer you, Keeper of Valenwood, the chance to reveal the honor of your people, and to rebuild what war has ravaged and destroyed. Lumber, the bosmer's most valued commodity, will be open to you from provinces rich in it, allowing you to rebuild without harming your forest. Think on my offer now, know that under it you not only continue to up hold you Green pact, but also are given the chance to truly prosper." Temijen waited for the Keepers response; behind him his companions watched the landscape around with uneasy eyes. At least the forest was not as thick here as the heart of Valenwood.
the keeper had to admit it was a good deal and they were clever he looked around seeing the large trees, the beautiful flowers that bloomed around him, and the colorful butterflies that flew around them. the keeper walked away and to them he looked like he was walking away but in reality he walked to a tree and simply touched it to think. on what he should do and what to agree to the spriggans didn't approve but they wouldn't hate the idea if it meant that the forest would be protected as a whole. so long as they didn't destroy the trees they would be able to farm in their territories. After a few minutes the keeper nodded and walked back to his group and he faced the man offering the deal and he finally spoke "I can agree to the terms, as long as we are clear that you do not use our trees for your construction. You are allowed to farm in your costal cities under our supervision we will give you the land you seek for the cities. we will also offer you a supply of meat although if you go into the forest yourself without a bosmer escort you will not be protected from the spiggans that watch over the forest. If you can garuntee that you will keep the coast safe then have a deal." he said as he walked a few steps from his group to between both groups with his hand raised for a handshake, if they both came to the center between them then it would show their agreement would be on equal terms
