Beatrice sat crossed legged on her bed her hair pulled back into a messy bun as she sat with her book on her lap. She'd moved out of her house, wanting to not live with her parents for the rest of her life. Her and her new Guardian were holed up in a nice Soho apartment. Okay, it was more than just nice, it was stunning. The place was huge and even had a second floor and the view of the city... It was... The best. She sighed, Cedric would be over soon. Cedric was her wonderful boyfriend, they were high school sweethearts and she could hardly think of an ill word for him. She returned her book to the shelf and got dressed into a skirt and tank top. She pulled on a pair of heels and a thin cardigan and let her hair down. She stepped out of her room, closing her door behind her. Rovnon was somewhere... There wasn't much worry of Strigoi in their apartment building after all, so they tended to mind their own business while in the apartment. It was nice, considering that wasn't really an option anywhere else in the world. There was a small knock at the door and she grinned.
Out of a habit that Rovnon drilled into her head in their first week at the apartment, she checked who it was through the peephole. Sure enough, there was Cedric waiting for her. She smiled and opened the door. Cedric's arms immediately wrapped around her and pushed her further back to the room, closing the door without breaking the kiss. When he did draw away, Beatrice found herself perched on the back on the couch and grinned, "Miss me?"
"Quite," he said, kissing her again.
