You might remember me, you might not. I spent a very small amount of time here in Spam during OldGuild, using gifs and pictures to reply to practically any thread I was in; trying to feel my way around and fill some niche. Some people got annoyed; within reason, I was stupid during that point, kinda starving for attention when I really didn't need to. Needless to say, I disappeared from Spam, focused on whatever RPs I happened to be in, and even won a WotM contest (though I'm still unsure how; there were some really good entries) right before Guildfall. When the new guild arrived, I signed on, joined one or two RPs, tried and failed to create a couple of my own, but eventually kind of faded out of the forum altogether due to some things I needed to do offline. Kinda wanted to just get away from here because I couldn't find any inspiration, and if you look back on an RP thread I was once in until about a month ago (I think, I haven't kept track), you could see that my posts weren't all that great. All I did here in the forums was stare at the screen and draw blanks in my mind about how to approach my next post. Eventually, I gave up and left. Of course, no one noticed-- I'm not big here, which is okay.

Offline (but not quite), I decided to take up the hobbies of game design and audio production with the help of various tutorials all over YouTube. If I keep it up, I can expect to release my first game in the next six months, maybe sooner. It might not be too great, but I'm learning, so it only gets better from there. On top of this, I'm starting to make music, taking inspiration from some of my favorite musicians and learning to create something that not only others will enjoy, but myself as well. I don't have much in terms of hardware, but in time, that will change.

However, I find myself coming back here because my first real true passion was writing, and it hasn't really gone away. Before I left, I couldn't draw creativity from anything. Now that I've had time away from here, I've taken that opportunity to leave my mind to its own creativity, rather than exhausting myself trying to come up with what would ultimately be a terrible post.

Why am I posting this here, in Spam? Despite its irrelevancy to a majority of you who might have more important things to worry about (I've read about mdk's surgery; it sucks, but I hope things get better for you in some way), I just wanted to say something; to get it out there. I don't talk much outside of an OOC thread for an RP or with my own close-knit group of friends. Stepping out of my comfort zone isn't a thing I do, but I'm trying it just this once.

So... hey.

I remember you posting a bit here in Spam. Congratulations on being more creative lately, and especially on having the courage to (like you said) step out of your comfort zone and post this. That's really awesome, I'm glad you're doing better.

Man, I don't need you think to worry about your lack of inspiration in your WBttG posts. I feel like the whole concept's getting kind of stale - you weren't the only one struggling with posts and you still aren't.

If you're trying to re-spark your muse, I suggest poking around the interest checks and trying a bunch of new RP's. That's what I do when I find myself barely able to write anymore.

The avatar used to be a close-up of CommanderVideo, the main character of the Bit.TRIP game series. The sig was an image of him running and leaving a rainbow trail behind him with some text on it somewhere. Now, it's an avi/sig set from a visual novel game I played a while back.
