If you check the wiki page for the ship's internal layout, you should see that the scale that FTL presents it as in comparison to its personnel. The size I'm going for will end up being just a bit larger: about the size of a real-life tanker ship, give or take.

Also regarding living quarters, cargo rooms, etc., I'll write them in as being on one or two additional decks, if that is necessary.
