The offered hand was ignored, though not due to any attempt at rudeness; Kotone was busy sticking the posters to the wall and had no idea that Mikasa was trying to shake her hand. Well, at first, at least--she had to turn around eventually. When she did, the taller girl's handshake was firm but considerably lacking in enthusiasm. "Shinobu Kotone, second," she replied, before pulling out a chair and beginning to sort through even more of her belongings, now lining the shelves with... action figures? Collectibles was probably a better word; anyone buying those for a child to play with was either insane or enjoyed wasting money, "I doubt anyone else will share your views. What they signify is so much worse than what they ."
The smile upon Mikasa lips merely grew more sweetly as the hand shake was returned - albeit half heartedly. "It's nice to meet Kotone-san! I hope we become good friends!" She exclaimed honestly. Mikasa had a terrible habit of making sure she didn't upset anyone and did everything in her power to keep people liking her. It often put a lot of strain on the poor girl, always stretched to her limits trying to help everyone in need and putting her own needs on the back burner. But she never regretted it, loving the smiles she put on peoples faces or the simple thanks she got after helping. It was like a drug, knowing she did good and helped out in some way. She then lit up, as if a sudden realization came to mind. "Oh wait! I made something for you!" She chimed sweetly before spinning on her heels and nearly diving into her bag in a hurried search. During her search she heard Kotone speak up about others not sharing her views on Kotone's tattoos. "Let them believe what they want. You seem nice. At least when you keep your clothes on inside the dorm" She teased with a soft laugh. "Oh! Found it!' She exclaimed joyfully as she pulled out a circular. She spun around and held out the box towards Kotone. "Here! I made this for you. Thought I would make a little gift for my roommate as a sort of.. uhmm.. friendship offering I guess you could call it. Oh, they're sweet buns by the way. I am a pretty decent cook."
