This is a thread is so I can gauge possible interest from the fine folks of this wonderful place. So before I write a long winded introduction I thought i'd just make a list of the basic premise and any details i deem necessary to share. If enough interest is shown then I will get a proper introductory post up when I do the OOC. So here is the information:

-Will be set in the UK, England initially, with the possibility of going to other countries

-Walking Dead rules apply...everyone is infected already etc...(No referring to them as zombies even though everyone pretty much knows what a zombie is)

-I am looking for this to be more about the characters than the shamblers but do not worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to smash some undead skulls

-Try and create some varied characters, I don't want an entire cast of police, military and Bruce Lee reincarnations. Characters who I think are unique and breaking the mould will be more likely to get "presents" in character

-Weapons and ammo is scarce, even more so than in the series because of this countries gun laws. When you create your character you will be limited to one fire arm(if you even want one) with only half a full magazine worth of ammo. That does mean a double barrelled shotgun would be a single shell.

-On the point above, you can't just happen upon swords, guns and ammunition while roleplaying. I will PM people as and when they can stumble across a weapon. Unique characters get more "presents" *wink*. Also posts I think are exceptional will result in "presents". Exceptional does not mean downing fifty shamblers with a butter knife, but something that evokes emotion. Even with these criteria met, it'll still be a rarity that people get weapons.

-Other items you can happen upon yourself, such as tools, medical supplies, food etc.

-The story will initially start in a Quarry however feel free to use your first few posts to describe arriving there if you wish.

-I will be using Google maps to get a basic overview of the nearby area so that you can all see whats going on. Should things take off and enough interest gets shown then I will populate the Coalville with key locations for supplies etc. Click here for a preview of what i mean

-Nobody is ever going to successfully hit with every single bullet

Personality: Very proper, however also just that little bit rough around the edges. As if a reformed personality, born into poverty he was considered a waster until a chance meeting with Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. Since then he has rapidly become wholely devoted to the security of the royal family Mildly schizophrenic he believes himself to be the last knight of the round table and styles himself accordingly. He is incredibly gentlemanly towards woman and violence is only a means of defending oneself, or the honour of a lady. Which in this day and age gets him more scorn than affection for he is adamant about the protection of a womans sensibilities. Not sexist at least in the conventional sense of the word since he holds woman in higher esteem then men.

History: Born to a hopeless addict of a mother and an alcoholic of a father. Peter would have been a no hoper had it not been for his chance encounter with the royal family and his keen eye spotting a danger to Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridges life. On saving her he was commended and drafted into the royal guard. His Schizophrenia would have usually disbarred him from service however was overlooked by intervention from Her Majesty. Since then he has accompanied the Duchess throughout most of her engagements. When the Dead arose he was on vacation in the welsh vallys, given a direct order from her majesty to take a break. Which is his only living regret, by the time he got to the house of windsor her majesty and her descendants were walkers. He arrived in time to see the Duchess brutally murdered by her husband and his brother. The Prince Royal was hiding in the kitchen cupboards, Peter wouldn't leave until he had verified all family members. Now because getting ahold of his Quetiapine is near impossible his schizophrenia is almost totally unchecked. He has a day's worth of medication left he keeps for dire emergencies. Such as the loss of life of the Prince. He likes to think himself the Prince regent as a result of his care of the last known remaining member of the British Royal family.

Companions: His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. Would like to be 11 however if reality is considered he is actually 11 months.

Well i'm not really looking at having all that many to be honest but if people want to join they can because ultimately people join and drop out. Would be nice to kill off those who don't stay the course.

Yeah, if you want to kill off your character because you're getting bored or just want a fresh start then let me know and we can talk about how we will kill them off and introduce your new one.

To be honest if people want their characters to survive but have holidays and things then aslong as they let me know, i won't kill them off, but if I do, they can feel free to make another when they get back.

History: Justin was born into an average home but he was an above average student getting good scores on all of his tests and classes especially science and math the only thing he hated about school was PE, and lunch time because he would get bullied but he would stay after school and play D&D with his friends and they would often throw their characters into very comical situations which is why he's always laughing about things, but with most people like Justin he couldn't live without technology it was his crutch it was what got him by and when the time came for him to pick a career he could get into any that he wished as long as it didn't involve fitness, so he chose to work with computers hacking into a companies security with permission of course to test the holes in the security then fix them but that all changed with the result of the outbreak.

Thrown into the world when his mother and father turned into Walkers all Justin could do was run from them taking everything he could find tying some bed sheets and linens together he made a rope and climbed down Justin wasn't fit for this kind of life but he made due eventually scavenging a crowbar which he uses to break into houses and smash walkers heads in but he still can't kick his technology habit.

History: Georgia was born in the southeast part of the U.S. to a middle class family in Memphis, Tennessee. She always dreamed of being a writer, but her parents wanted her to take over the family business, a small wine store in downtown Memphis. She grew up surrounded by homophobia and unlucky for her, she turned out to be queer. Her family did not react kindly when she came out, so she fled north towards Maine. She gave up her dream of becoming a writer and enrolled into a local college where she trained to be a meteorologist. She was going to work for a news station, but one of her teachers convinced her to work for the air force. When she was accepted in, they shipped her off to a small base in North Carolina. There, she met a lovely girl named Jackie. They fell in love and got married, but when the boss found out, he kicked both of the newlyweds out. Once again, Georgia fled from the south, but this time she had a loving partner to support her. They crossed the border into Canada and settled down in Toronto.
