Display Name: Kazuma
Real Name: Kirisugu Miyamoto
Age: 19
Appearance:
Kazuma is an orphan from the streets of Seto. The townspeople all knew him and helped take care of him, but never took him in. He lived in a tiny, two-room hut on the rocky shores of the Seto Inland Sea that he had built with his own two hands at age 7. Before that, he lived under bridges, under porches, and in trees. He ate what he could catch on the Inland Sea and what little he could buy with the money from his many jobs. Kazuma had always been interested in history during school and, in late High School, received enough money from scholarships, research funds, and winning donations, that he fixed up his little hut into a house that, while still small, was quite comfy. In his first year of college, Kazuma joined the history club and was instrumental in forming a SCA-like organization. The organization, HWR (historical warfare reenactors), received a grant allowing them to all take a trip to the United States to watch the yearly Grand Melee of the SCA. It was here that things began to go wrong for Kazuma. First, in a freak accident, Kazuma lost his left eye at the Melee. Then, while recovering, a friend entered Kazuma in a competition put forth by the creators of SAO to design one of the floors for the selfsame game. Kazuma’s plan for Tarbinal became the 26th level of Aincrad and he received a free NerveGear and copy of SAO. It all came to a head on that first, fateful day. When the sky of the Town of Beginnings bled and produced the ghastly phantom that was the game’s creator, a man that Kazuma had actually met in person and liked.
In the game, Kazuma became a skill hunter, seeking out events and quests that would increase his levels in certain skills. He became fast friends with the information broker Crona and visited her frequently for both business and enjoyment, as he quickly developed a massive crush on the woman. After the completion of floor 50, Kazuma went to go see Crona to give her all of the information he had on Tarbinal. While on his way, Kazuma happened across a secret dungeon under the Town of Beginnings, where he acquired the unique skill Novice Twins. This ability sacrifices the use of Sword Arts for a large damage boost and the ability to wield multiple weapons at once. Some time earlier Crona had approached Kazuma and confronted him about his continued status as a solo player. Reprimanding him for the dangers that solo-ing caused, she told him of a recently formed team comprised of two people. One who was famous for her ruthless fighting style and one who was known for his willingness to take any quest…
