Tomo didn't quiet care what others thought of her. She chose to be happy, even when everyone said she should be sad. The only time she'd feel sadness was when she allowed herself to, when she was alone and felt safe. People were so quick to say horrible things, but Tomohina refused to be so negative. She was blessed with comfort in life and she continue to be thankful, rather than horrible. Though some might say she had more than enough reason to be. Tilting her head slightly, she listened intently at what everyone said as they gathered into their group. A sigh reached her ears and she perked a brow at that sound. But that was her only reaction, her gentle smile still burning brightly. The robotic sounding voice that emanated from the same direction as the sigh addressed itself as Fuyuki Todoroki. Well, just as Todoroki, but the teacher had addressed him by his first name. Yes, him, though she refused to give into a label on someone she was not sure wanted to be addressed as such. He asked if he could share he desk but before she could agree, Kyle Parker moved to go get it for him. Of course Parker-san hadn't spoken directly to her, so she felt a bit sheepish in her optimism. Was it rude, then, to assume she could befriend all of them? Shiori Hanari was quiet, more quiet than Todoroki-san, which was a bit surprising. The other girl only announced herself through her scent, that light flora smell of shampoo and hint of perfume. She had pulled up her desk, but had not introduced herself, so Tomo remained quiet. She didn't like pushing others to do things they didn't want to, unless it was vital towards something useful. But it did leave her feeling more than a little disheartened. But she kept her back straight, sitting like a lady, a weaker but still just as kind smile on her face. Her long lashes brushed over her cheeks as her unseeing eyes turned downwards. Her fingers nervously gripped one another, as if the small pain of it would bring her out of such gloomy thoughts. Reaching for her brail version of their school book, she slid her slender fingers of the page it was opened to. Her other hand reached up to find her notebook, ordering her things well so she'd remember where they were and wouldn't have to fumble about looking for them. Her style of writing was better than having to use a clunky brail typer. She just made deep enough marks for her fingers to recognize and rewrote them once she got to her dorm. Though she was noticeably blind, she didn't like to draw to much attention to it. She rather her first impression be one about her and who she was, than her disability. There was nothing more irritating than being 'that rich blind girl' on her roster. She heard the heavy steps of Parker-kun get closer once more, the scuffling sounds of him setting the desk down, and finally taking his own seat. She smiled warmly when he introduced himself to everyone and bobbed her head in a slow sort of motion, like a seated polite bow. It was quiet for a moment. Tomo nibbled on her lip. So...now what? She let out a small laugh, too breathy to catch much attention, but it was more in amusement to how odd this seemed to be to all of them. Oh well. She was sure they'd all get through it just fine. Of course they all had their own sets of friends, she was mostly sure, but there was no reason to be passing judgements on people they didn't know. Even if rumors floated around about some of them. "Perhaps, if everyone is ready, we should start?" her soft suggestion held a hint of sweet amusement in it, her voice still as melodic and warm as ever.
