Man that must've hurt. I fractured my ankle too, years ago. I was attempting to transfer in to a half-pipe from a quarter (BMXing). As I caught air, my left stunt peg hit the side-railing and I had to bail. Ended up landing on the half-pipe with my ankle bent under my weight. That hurt. Haha!

And the itchiness sucked but I got by with a ruler :D And my middle finger will probably be stronger but the missing knuckle is going to annoy me. I'm considering corrective surgery.
