By the time Sam's darkness hit the goons, one of them were already killed from a lucky shot to the head, but the rest of the nine were cleaning up the shop. Everyone was dead, at least all the charity workers/Yakuza soldiers. They were in the process of retrieving the stolen goods and looting when they were engulfed in darkness. Despite the sudden incursion, they knew better than to gawk around confused; either the Titans have arrived or those Yakuza people had some sort of mutant spellcaster among them, either way they needed to go. However when Sam lashed out at them, two were cut down, and while not killed, they were cut to severely to try to move around much. They just had to lay their in the darkness, hoping that no one tries to finish them off. Another two who managed to avoid Sam in the darkness were still trapped there, as they were blinded and wasn't sure which way was the exit. But instead of immediately surrendering, they simply began to fire in every direction around them, taking turns shooting so that the other could reload to ensure a constant stream of bullets. The other five managed to escape the darkness, a few of them regaining their sight as they ran towards their getaway car, an armored van. As much as they wanted to go back and get the others, they knew that they wouldn't get paid if they got caught or killed. The driver floored it while the rest of the goons who escaped reloaded their weapons and got ready; where there was one Titan, the rest would surely follow. One of the goons even took out an RPG in the inevitable car chase while another had some smoke grenades ready to cover them. Meanwhile Dark Matter was taking a cozy seat inside the hair of a scientist who was presenting the Powered Exoskeleton. It was actually quite an interesting show; the skeleton was indeed rather compact and thin, and Dark Matter was skeptical that it could live up to the claims it made. But the scientist, while in the suit, was able to flip over a hummer, jump a good thirty feet into the air, and land without even stumbling. He dead lifted a 300lb car engine with one hand, without so much as a grunt. "That's really impressive..." He thought to himself. he would be rather interested in it, and it was a good thing he was here. A shame that the scientist would have to die for him to have it, but it was the price for such a contraption.
