Abelina snarled at the guards and found herself not knowing what exactly she should do. Reluctantly would she return to her human form and stare at the ground, breathing heavily. She never intended to attack the guard as a wolf, just wanted to scare him into backing down. Either way, she knew she still brought this on herself. "These crimes you accuse us for are not our doing. Let us be!" Abelina was indeed fearful of the situation. They would most certainly kill her for the recent death that she did not commit. But they would not believe her. "You fools waste your time, the killer is still out there!"

Martin did not give it another though. The other guard was approaching quickly, but was not yet in range to use his weapon. The guard with the sword was only one man. He dove forward, thrusting his staff out to hit the guard in the stomach. The guard folded in half, and then Martin hit him in the head, with the but of the staff, but not with full force. "Quick, change into a horse and let me ride you. It's our only hope of escape!" Martin felt sick that he had been forced to attack the man, and cause him injury. He only hoped that the injuries were ones that he could recover from quickly. The guard was only doing his job, but if they were caught, his friend would likely be burned at the stake.

Abe was shocked as Martin attacked the guard. She never thought he could bring himself to do so, and started to feel guilty as she had gotten him into this mess. If she could simply go back in time and just leave without him, she would. But it was far too late. She couldn't ditch him now. And upon hearing his shouts, Abelina did not hesitate to do as he requested thus turned into a noble steed, an ebony horse. In case the guard attempted to attack again, she squealed and kicked her front legs into the air to clear the area if needed. She'd canter and impatiently waited for her friend to jump on.

Martin jumped on, dropping his staff in the process and grasped her main with his hands. Without a saddle and bridle, it was all he could do to hold on, as they shoot across the landscape. She was off and running full out, distancing them from the unmounted guards. Finally, after a few minutes of running, they were far enough away that Martin was no longer worried about pursuit. The only horses in the village were work horses, which could never outrun a true stead like his friend had become. "Slow down and change back Abelina."

As Martin had requested, Abelina came to a slow trot and finally stopped, allowing him to unmount so she could shift back to her natural form. For a long moment, she was quiet, until she finally turned to face Martin. "What happens now?" she paused, "I don't wish to run my whole life.. they will have a bounty on us. No one will care about the real culprit." her voice was a bit shaky now. Her blood was boiling with rage at the fact that she was practically being framed. Her need to prove her innocence would only grow stronger, even to the point of being an obsession.

"We have to find the real murderer. We know he is a shape changer. Do you know any other shape changers in the village? I wonder why he murdered in the first place? Why did he murder them? It makes little sense? Is there any way to track him at all?"
