The goons in the van tried to shoot down Aria, but even with a direct hit their bullets seemed to bounce off of them. They didn't get to shoot for long however, when their van crashed into some sort of force field at seventy miles per hour. The driver was killed on impact, the front half of the armored van pancaked. The other four were tossed around, one who was knocked out when his head slammed into the window. The other three crawled out, sore but alive. they tried to escape on foot, but found themselves trapped. "Fuck! What are we suppose to do now!?" One of the goons yelled out. Another had a bag of jewelry, the ones that were stolen from Dominick's friend. "We hide these. Even if we get arrested, that Dark Matter guy said that he could bail us out if we get him these gems." The three goons hide the gems in the area they could move in, burning the bag once they were done and making a phone call. Dark Matter didn't pick up however, so they left him a message. "Hey boss, we got the jew- Got the juice. Our car is parked at Westion Street, left the juice were you could find them. And ah, we're going to need someone to pick us up. The local toughs, well, they got us." Once the goon was finished with his message, they didn't have much else to do but sit around and wait to be arrested.

Some of the goons who were getting healed by Serenity stayed put, figuring that they were done for. But one of the thugs, one whom Sam had injured during his initial attack, felt his wounds healed. He looked around and saw no one watching him, and he quickly got to his feet, took out a smoke bomb, and used it to mask his escape.

On the other side of town the robot fair was on high alert, not that it's tourist knew. Dark Matter just killed the scientist, his assistant, and a security guard, and eventually the local security caught wind of some sort of break in and theft and were now looking for the thief. Dark Matter had to act fast though, so he puked out the body of the security guard he consumed and slithered himself inside, using him to get past all the guards. He entered a latrine once he felt he was out of sight, and than changed back into Dominick. He walked out of the latrine, washed his hands, and tried to pretend that he didn't know what was going on. He headed towards the exit, home free.
