Slowly, Torrential turned to meet the gaze of Star Dancer; A strange look of understanding in his eyes that wasn't there before. "My dear Star Dancer, what makes you think that Equestria could still be saved at this point? No matter how good a healer one is, one cannot heal or cure death." The alicorn came to a stop on the empty road, sitting down without taking his eyes off of Star because what he was about to say was very important and needed to be taken deadly seriously. "The Equestria of the alicorn sisters Celestia and Luna is no more. The era of their rule has passed and the kingdom they forged by defeating Discord and by bringing order to the land is taking its final breaths. The disappearance of both Celestia and Luna two decades ago was the beginning of the end and everything that has happened up until this point has simply been the kingdom they left behind dying." Torrential took a small breath, preparing himself for what had to be the most important sentence he might ever tell anyone in this lifetime. "This is not a bad thing." Pausing for a moment to let his words sink in, Torrential explained what he meant further. "No kingdom lasts forever and sooner or later it has to fall down for one reason or another. Consider a humble camp fire. It burns brightly in the night and warms the world around it, but sooner or later it will start to fade away. However from ashes there will always be embers that remain long after the fire itself has faded and from these ashes a brand new fire will be born." "Once this war is over, something new will raise from the ashes that was the Equestria that was ruled by the sisters of the Sun and Moon. Something new. The only reason this war is taking place is because there are ponies that refuse to let go of the past and they are coming into conflict with those that have accepted that the world is changing." Torrential was silent for a time, giving Star the chance to disgust this new found wisdom before standing up and starting to walk along the path once again. In a slightly less serious but much more interested tone, Torrential asked "Tell me, out of all the major factions fighting for Equestria at this moment, who do you believe has accepted that the world is changing and who clings to the past?"
