Alice didnt exactly like the nickname, but she'd heard worse given to her fellow freshman. She scuffed and said,"You lead the way then, Stranger." 

Not exactly the best comeback, but it was all she could come up with at the moment. 

She followed him down the hall in silence. 

"So..." She tried for conversation. "How many other people do you think are stuck here? I meet someone back near the main stairwell in front of the courtyard."
