Laying back on a field on the outskirts of the city, a young girl with a shock of black hair over her pale form rested. Her body surrounded by slightly overgrown grass and clover was thin, not muscular, nothing special. Much to her distaste even her bust was only at what most others would consider an average cup. She stared at the clouds with melancholy and a reminiscent expression. Through the pools of her eyes that reflected the sky above, she recalled what transpired that day. "Who are you anyways?" Asked a red headed third year girl at the Academy. She had attempted, upon her mothers request, to join an after-school club. Something... 'extracurricular,' her mom said. And as she sat in the club room, at least a dozen eyes on her, she began to tremble. She's Evie, dammit! A second year... that... that... She couldn't spit out any words. She felt the pressure build up as others looked for her to speak, and her face turned a shade of pink usually attainable only by fabrics. With a start she stood up. "I need to go." The only words she could spit out of her mouth. As she rushed through the door. Her mentality as she ran was turmoil, clutching her bag to her chest her thoughts were riddled with the usual slander. Stupid. Pathetic. Insignificant. You're nothing. Melodramatic. Worthless. It's no wonder no one want's to be around you. She held her hands tighter to her chest, silently pleading for the hated voices to stop, but the negative words filled her heart and poured from her eyes like a water spout spewing tears and black tar. As she recalled what had happened, the tears filled her eyes once again. Sniffling, she sat up and wiped her eyes on the sleeve of her uniform. She picked up her tome beside her and clutched it so tightly to her chest that her knuckles turned white as she combated the overwhelming poison stirring from within. If she fell back into this again, her dad would have a fit. She ... she couldn't inconvenience him again. She wasn't worth that much. With a shuddering exhale, Evie looked up and to the city once again as she finally managed to silence her demons. What she saw initially shocked her. Her eyes wide... the Citadel, which was such a prominent figure in the city, was clearly under attack. Uncertain what to do, the only thought she had was; I need to see what's going on. In a scramble, she picked up her book bag and tossed her tome inside before running towards the city to see what was happening with her own eyes.
