Alex watched Carton carefully, still working to not take any sudden action that would result in that trigger being pressed and them all going boom. He sputtered a bit as the mist hit his face, but otherwise he was fine Given that it came from the tome the terrorist held though, it was fairly obvious what the nature of the explosive was, and now his front half was covered in it. Well, if that went off it was going to hurt like hell. So, better make sure it didn't go off. He nodded silently and walked out the door, leading the way confidently, not too fast, at a pace designed to keep Carton somewhat at ease with how they were moving. After all, move too slow and he'd think he was stalling. Move too fast, and he'd think that he was trying to give him the slip. And that wouldn't do. Of course, he knew that once they were both out of sight, evacuations would begin. There were enough people there who had heard and seen the threats to know about the bomb, and hopefully the building would be clear soon. The other concern was the security personnel tracking them, but he was able to wave them off, given that they wouldn't want to risk injuring him, at least if he looked like he had the situation under control. They neared the Capital, Alex silent the while, with Carton near him, acting as if he were just going for a morning stroll. At least, until he saw Security buzzing about the Capital like a hornet's nest. Now that wasn't good, and it showed, as he wondered what was going on.
