Kalama do you believe in stereotypes?
Don't be hating on my Navy D:
My grandad was in the Navy and it's not really changed, except they actually DO things nowadays. Maybe. I'm quite serious about the 'you can be in the Navy with one working hand' when one of the guys he had was nearly fully paralysed after a shrapnel blast but worked on navigation. He even knew of one badass guy who literally held in his guts and ran to their ships like that, despite that the guy survived and was just all like 'please stitch me up, thanks'. During WW2, they say all these big Navy things happened but it was actually extremely rare which is why certain events are pretty well known in history books. The most he did was roam around Egyptian waters and the guys would throw food over the walls for all the poor people to eat, other than that nothing happened despite the boat being huge and pretty badass looking.
