I'm going to get started on a first post.
I'm going to set the last of May as a Saturday. The IC will start Saturday morning, but the thing isn't until that evening. So everyone's first post will kinda be a description of their character's life thus far. Second post everyone will make their way to the diner.

Every character is expected to be at the diner, but I doubt everyone will talk to Damien right afterwards, instead taking 2-3 Weeks. Probably the person that Damien grabs by the heart strings with his voice and at least one other person who performs will get together at the start. Be thinking what your character might do.

You can go ahead and start working on a Saturday morning post, just don't post it until I make one. No need to model yours after mine.
